Nope, still up. Doing yet another edit on powerpoint slides for my oral defense. I actually have a date now and can start worrying in earnest. Tomorrow I will start the run thrus and timing the presentation. It's an hour now, but that might be a bit long. I still can't see where to cut it tho. They will just have to listen to my brillance. : )

Do you think they were waving to someone special? It certainly does look like that maybe one of their special aides were waving or someone they have become close to who works on the staff at the White House.

I saw on fox that her missing shoe was found and presented to her the next day. I suspect she was doing what I do and a lot of other women do at work kick their shoes off under the desk so when she was either grabbed or told to move quickly she did not have chance to put it back on. I often wander around the office in stocking feet so if we had a fire drill I could be caught like that LOL.

That is a small motorcade wow what is a large one then? I was amazed when I saw 3 limousines and 2 police cars for our PM during the election campaign .
And how much security would you have if your President did like our PM did on voting day walked from his house to the polling station in the village. Though only a few minutes walk I suspect there was a lot of security about but one wonders how much more there would be in the US then.

Speaking of getting a globe: A friend of mine and her husband are adopting a child from Ethiopia, and along with putting up some pictures of Africa...so little Salim won't feel quite so disoriented...she's getting a globe. (Sometimes when you can actually put your finger on that spot on the globe where you came from, you feel better.) The family are all learning Swahili, or whatever the language is in Ethiopia. Salim is five and shy, mother dead, father unknown, grandmother finally put her in an orphanage where she'd have a chance at adoption. Little Salim just got very lucky, indeed. Great family.
So where's Beazley?

Maybe someday such modems, at a price that we can afford, will be available to those of us who live in the outback. Hopefully it will be before I am too senile to appreciate it.
