Dasshole was full of crap. Ellsworth was all but shut down years ago when all of the nuclear missions and SAC went away. One bomb wing on that large base that is now far away from the regional areas the bombers might need to be sent to is not practical. It would have been closed regardless of the senator in office.
There is also a Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in VA. Theo ne being closed however, is the one in NH.
I love it!
But my favorites are the ARNG Black Hawks up in North Tulsa...because they've seen me, they know who I am and look for me when they fly over. They've circled over my house on three different occasions! They even invited my family and my son's Bear Scout group to tour their building. We just love 'em.
The jedi family...
Want your base? I want my judges? And the bickering continues.
>>>>I really can't help it that they are so hapless to vote the way they do.
Did you miss all the threads we have compiled here on voter fraud?
There are more conservatives held prisoner here in blue states than we are credited with. OTHERWISE voter fraud wouldn't be needed.
WA State:
Everett, Tacoma & Vancouver army reserve stations.
As my wife just asked, isn't it a juicy target to have all our B-1's in one location? ...and I add, even thought it is in the center of the US.
Don't be held prisoner. Escape.
Only if politics plays little or no part in such decisions.
Somehow, it's rather easy to envision a scenario where the Administration might decide to tread lightly on the Senate Minority Leader's constituents, considering how the President has any number of objectives that he cannot hope to achieve with less than 60 votes in the Senate...
I did. We were out for 5 yrs.
We moved back to attend to family. Hope to escape again one day.
That was one of the things that struck me as well.
You'll just have to fight then.

Always! :)
I live right down the street from the Rome Lab in New York State. I'm surprised they only opted to realign and not close it totally. There's been constant rumors of its demise.
Oh yeah? We get Coburn too! :)
Another person perhaps, that thinks power trumps principle? Are you thinking short term or long term. Are you aware the reasons for a BRAC. Politics is not supposed to be an issue with the BRAC. Regardless, whether politics is or isn't, Ellsworth is on the list.
...and what was it the voters of SD did in the last general election? They narrowly defeated a lying, deceiving, democrat unworthy of the name Senator, who just happened to be reinventing the rules in the senate in order to short circuit anything and eveything the President of the United States and the representatives of the people were desirous of doing.
In turn they got the lying deceiving democrat Hairy Read unworthy of the name senator, attempting the same thing, and the proposed closure of Ellsworth AFB. None of the three amount to more than the blink of an eye in the eternal round, and certainly don't amount to a hill of beans in the debate between power and principle.
