Racy, sexy, unfaithful America? Think again. The majority of American married couples are faithful to each other, says a source that has long been an oracle of lusty lifestyles. None other than Playboy magazine reports that 75 percent of men and 82 percent of women said they had never had an extramarital affair, according to a "Fidelity Survey" published by the magazine yesterday.
......(excerpt)......
Playboy asked of the 1,432 adult respondents. Playboy founder Hugh Hefner declined to comment on the survey.
......(excerpt)...... Respondents overall estimated that 44 percent of men and 38 percent of women cheated on their spouse.
.....(excerpt)......
Meanwhile, the Playboy poll revealed that "amorously adventurous couples" were more likely to cheat, and that the chance of cheating increases with age. Although 18 percent of men and 14 percent of women ages 18 to 34 admitted to extramarital sex partners, the number increased to 30 percent of men and 18 percent of women by their mid-40s.

This is real News!
"amorously adventurous couples" were more likely to cheat,
In other news, terminally ill patients are more likely to die.
and that the chance of cheating increases with age.
I believe the question was "Have you EVER cheated?" Basic probablity, anyone? The chance of something happening in the next 5 minutes is low? But the chance of it happening in the next 80 years is somewhat higher?

OK, it's all bogus, good news isn't allowed. We're salacious monkeys, just like Camus once wrote and the world is going to hell in a hand basket even faster than Pat Buchanan and Chris Matthews predicted it would. Yeesh!

When there are kids and 1-2 jobs involved in a marriage I honestly don't see how *anyone* has the time, or inclination, or energy, to cheat.
Life is too busy and complicated as it is. . .who needs more busyness and complications?

Debra: "You want to have an affair!"
Ray: "Yeah. THat's my goal. To disappoint two women."

Is this more evidence that the Kinsey data are/were bogus?
To: OldFriend
If you think your cheating with say Demi Moore, and don't realize your not, you are likely happy. If your happy under those conditions it is just like cheating, but a good defense is you would be stupid.
