Clinton Packs House Bill Enters the Circle (Bill Clinton Speaks "Honestly")
Variety ^ | Thurs., May 12, 2005 | PAMELA MCCLINTOCK

Bill Clinton drew a round of applause Tuesday at the Time WarnerTime Warner Center -- no small feat considering the "Conversations on the Circle" guest's audience was a bevy of Gotham's (NYC) tough-to-please media elite.

One journo noted there was no such ovation for Bush political operative whiz Karl Rove, who was recently the first guest to participate in the series of one-on-one interviews held in Time Warner's Zen-like screening room.

"The doctrine of equal time required us to reach out to the other side," explained TW chairman-CEO Richard Parsons. The longtime Republican said even he considers Clinton to have been a great president.

Clinton also outdid Rove in drawing a packed house, even if some of those in the audaud were longtime Clinton allies such as Vernon Jordan.

Clinton remains a master orator and compulsive talker -- moderator and Time Inc. editor in chief Norm Pearlstine found it nearly impossible to get in any questions during the hourlong interview.

As for the $64,000 question -- will Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton make a run for the White House in 2008 --Clinton said: "I honestly don't know. Right now she is focused on her 2006 senatorial race."

How can Ex-Pres. Clinton not know? Or might it depend on the 'soft' or 'hard' definition of the word "honestly"; fundamentally speaking that is. ;)

Give me a break! Any of these media elite would gladly don the kneepads and take Monica's place. Their devotion to this hick conman is confounding.

Note Text Correction:
aud = audience (Variety slang)
Type error - audaud = aud)
Gotham - Variety slang for NYC

"Bill Clinton drew a round of applause ...no small feat considering...Gotham's (NYC) tough-to-please media elite."

Geez.

How many times are we going to hear this baseless cliche? The same thing was said daily, even by those here on FR, before Hillary formerly announced her take-over attempt of the NY seat being given up by Sen. Moynihan. "Just wait" the conservative media said, "the damn-tough press in NYC will eat her alive." The truth is that they rolled over for her like mining camp whores. There is NO objectivity or balance in any press outlet.

Except for the Post. Andrea Peyser wrote some classics.

What's left of the fearsome New York press is mostly sportswriters :)

Hillary mentioned to Bill it might be nice, considering all they've been through, to renew their wedding vows.
The male half of Billary was last seen on a plane to Albuquerque.

"confounding"

Not to me .. it's all about POWER. Clinton did whatever he wanted when he was in power - and a lot of people admire that. A lot of people don't believe the President should be held to the same standard .. unless of course that President is a REPUBLICAN.

Of course the uncouth and traitorous b_stard remains a compulsive talker, if you had a hole the size he does in his stomach, you'd talk to "anybody, as long as you possibly could" in your attempt to fill it up every day too. May he draw his final breath acknowledging he was an boring and insouciant POTUS.
