I am glad for them. Many Muslims I have spoken to will only condemn the extremists in private. However much I do not agree with their religion I am glad that some of them are willing to say no to violence.
I read about this on their website. Here are my predictions, the MSM won't cover it, there will be more people than appeared at the Million Mom March or for NOW and their annual abortion rights march.
That's very good news. I hope it will stop some of the murders of innocent people in Iraq, and help to spread freedom!
(If what I just wrote makes you sad or angry,
I am glad to hear that they are standing up. Silence out of fear of reprisal from the Islamofascists means tacit support for their actions.
If the millions (out of a billion) of Islamic radicals really are following a "false" relgion, then there is no problem in denouncing them. There are enough radicals and enough horrors to make such a response necessary.
Any reformation/purging of Islam will have to come from within, it will also mean opening themselves to retaliation from the Islamonazis. Some things ARE worth dying for.
I hope there will be a large turnout......But I suspect it will be the opposite. For alot of them I imagine "sticking your neck out" is like inviting a beheading.....literally!
Next step is to show them that Mohammed irrefutably and undeniably was a terrorist as well, and to denounce him too. Why anyone would believe the words (Koran) of such an un-holy madman is beyond me. Mohammed was a murderer, rapist, thief, pedophile, torturer, assassin, bigoted, racist and chauvinist pig.
He and his minions raped, pillaged, murdered, enslaved and conquered their way through the Middle East. His Jihad and subsequent massacres of Christians, Jews, Zoroastrians and anyone who wouldnt convert by force, the brutal expansion by force into the holy land and Eastern Europe for 400 years which instigated the Crusades and the legacy of 1400 years of death, oppression and social stagnation all of which continue to define the middle east today.
Great role model this Mohammed huh? Religion of peace indeed. It amazes me how stupid, ignorant and gullible a billion people can be. This muslims against terrorists is a good start but sooner or later they will have to face up to the truth, that by denouncing terrorism, they are actually denouncing Mohammed and Islam as well. Why not just make the mental leap and openly express their denouncing of islam as they are in reality doing instead of pussyfooting around the truth.
(sigh....) tell them both that I support them.
Man I hope they have good security. These people are even worse to their own than to the infidel if they suspect any type of waivering from the hardline. Some Wahabists would love to set a big ol' bomb off right in the middle of them to show the will of Allah. I wonder if there will be profiling. I mean, can you imagine how hard that would be?
"Islam isn't in America to be equal to any other faiths, but to become dominant. The Koran, the Muslim book of scripture, should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on Earth." - Omar Ahmad, Co-founder of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, aka CAIR. President and CEO of Silicon Expert Technologies. A Palestinian who grew up in a refugee camp in Jordan.
Their current mouthpiece, Ibrahim Hooper (a.k.a. Jabba Butt-monkey), seems to be following the agenda of CAIR's founders. What I'd like to know is what, if anything, Hooper and company has to do with the organization that is organizing this march. Are they just a front for CAIR? Will they begin ranting about how we are all being unfair to Muslims? Will the march turn into a chorus of "butt-monkey's" turning it all around on us?
I'll hope for the best, but I'm not going to hold my breath on this one. Islam needs it's own reformation. If it happens this is how it will begin if it is sincere.
Just to be on the safe side, face recognition software will be used...
Even a cursory perusal of the Koran and Sunnah/Hadiths will reveal violence and intolerance at the core of Islam's belief system. In particular, Muslims who espouse peaceful practices are held in contempt within Islam. For example, take a look at Qur'an 33:60
"Truly, if the Hypocrites, those in whose hearts is a disease, those who stir up sedition, the agitators in the city, do not desist, We shall urge you (Muhammad) to go against them and set you over them. Then they will not be able to stay as your neighbors for any length of time. They shall have a curse on them. Whenever they are found, they shall be seized and slain without mercya fierce slaughtermurdered, a horrible murdering. (Such was) the practice (approved) of Allah among those who lived before. No change will you find in the practice of Allah."
Islamists note the urge to find moderate Muslims and are learning how to fake moderation. Over time, their camouflage will undoubtedly further improve.
The official, politically correct point of view says that Islam is just another monotheistic religion, not that different from Judaism or Christianity.
If that is true, then moderate Muslims must exist, just like moderate members of other faiths.
However, moderate members of other faiths do not require sacrificial mollification -- that's basically how we tell moderates from extremists.
Therefore, either moderate Muslims are mythical creatures, or we need substantially different criteria to identify them.
That dilemma alone should make us suspicious as to whether Islam is "just another religion".
Obviously, it is important that we determine how a moderate Muslim can be distinguished from a Muslim extremist.
Why not ask Muslims themselves?
Irshad Manji, a young Canadian author, has published a book titled The Trouble With Islam.
Since we don't hear too many Muslim voices criticizing their religion, her book deserves our attention.
This is what the author herself says on her promotional Website:
"I appreciate that every faith has its share of literalists. Christians have their Evangelicals. Jews have the ultra-Orthodox. For God's sake, even Buddhists have fundamentalists. But what this book hammers home is that only in Islam the literalism is mainstream."
Apparently, the terms literalism and fundamentalism in the quotation above are used interchangeably, as synonyms of religious extremism. Unfortunately, the author fails to mention the most important difference between "literalists" in Islam and other religions. Evangelical Christians may believe that heaven is reserved for them alone.
Ultra-Orthodox Jews may display intimate understanding of the murkiest places in the Talmud.
I have no idea what extreme fundamentalist Buddhists do that sets them apart from their moderate coreligionists.
What I do know however is that no religion except Islam pursues the idea of physical extermination of those who believe differently.
The concept of holy war is unique to Islam.
Jihad is the absolute monopoly of Muslims.
There is no parallel to it in any other religion in the world. (Yes, I have heard about Crusades, but Christianity does not mandate them, and do you know when the last Crusade ended?)
So, here we have it in plain English, as simple as A, B, C:
1. According to the Koran, holy war against the infidels is a sacred duty of every Muslim.
2. According to Ms. Manji, mainstream Muslims interpret Koran literally.
The conclusion is inevitable:
3. Mainstream Muslims perceive war against the infidels -- meaning you and me -- as their sacred duty.

Lies!! They will go to their mosques later and pray along with these animals. Don't be soooooo niave to believe they want an end to the radicals(who are real muslims) on jihad. The only thing that's sad is the way so many of you think they can be changed. Grow up and accept islam, infidels!
Non-existent Muslim Ping

Just another islamic oxymoron to add to the list:
1. Islam is a religion.
2. Islam is a religion of peace.
3. Moderate Muslim.
4. Muslim-American.
5. Arab Ally.
6. Muslim March Against Terror.
