"Great Dose tonight! In light of our first family being home safe and sound, I lift my glass (of wine, soda, milk, etc.) in a toast of relief. I bow my head in prayer and thanks."
And I will join you . . . to our AWESOME President and his beautiful First Lady!

Great stuff, Deb.
I have a friend who was a missionary in Latvia for some years and she saw incredible changes there as the country was still emerging (this was in the late 1990's and early 2000's) from the crushing Soviet oppression. They have a long way to go but they are making much faster progress now.
When my friend would return to the States, she would go into a grocery store and wander around with her mouth open, just staring and staring at the multitude of items of all varieties. She said the commonality in Latvia and surrounding countries was almost bare shelves and almost no variety. Her first apartment had no bathroom, and the refrigerator was an earthen dug-out in a hillside, a very common food storage system there.

Great pic. I've heard nephew George speak here in Florida now and then- he's extremely attractive, bright and well-spoken. IF he wants one- he could have a public service/political career.

About 15,000 people showed up for that rally, which was switched at the last minute to outdoors. The Lea county election vote was 79% plus for Bush and the remainder for the other guy.

I hope not! I HATE pink.
BTW, how are you tonight? We had a really bad storm earlier (though not hailing as someone else's was). It's gone now but had to let my puppy out and he got really muddy :( He's also very good at getting pollen stuck in his fur.

Just as aside I have a customer in Estonia and in fact I had an email from them today.
It has been interesting to see how quickly that country has changed and of course is now a Member of the EU.

Cspan is replaying the speech in Georgia. Huge crowd. Very enthusiastic response for the President. But he is out in the open - so very glad he is home!
To: SE Mom
Lots of companies here that the Rats love to hate -- like Halliburton, and major oil companies, though less so than in the past -- more independents. Job's are plentiful -- heavy equipment operators, truck drivers, mechanics (local Chevy dealer can't keep the good ones -- they go to work for major companies with better pay and benefits). Many young folks are shut out though -- can't pass drug tests or have drug arrests. Culture war going on here, too, and Spanish is the language of necessity for many.
To: STARWISE; DrDeb
THANK YOU, STARWISE!!!!!!!!!!!
LOOK at that crowd!!!
