Secret Rosen Tape May Confound Democratic Party
The New York Sun ^ | 5/9/5 | JOSH GERSTEIN

Posted on 05/10/2005 8:25:53 AM PDT by thebaron512

With the trial of a key finance official on Senator Clinton's 2000 campaign set to open tomorrow, a secretly recorded audiotape at the core of the case could prove embarrassing to politicians, political operatives, and wealthy donors to the Democratic Party. David Rosen, 40, faces three felony counts of causing the filing of false campaign finance reports in connection with a celebrity-studded fund-raiser and concert held in August 2000 at a radio executive's estate in the Brentwood hills above Los Angeles. Prosecutors have asserted that the true cost of the gala was more than $1 million but that Mr. Rosen reported costs of just $400,000 as part of a scheme to increase the funds Mrs. Clinton had to spend on her Senate bid. Mr. Rosen, now a Chicago-based political consultant, has pleaded not guilty to the charges. As part of the investigation into the alleged under-reporting, the FBI asked a New Orleans political consultant and friend of Mr. Rosen, Raymond Reggie, to wear a wire and surreptitiously record the former Clinton aide. In September 2002, Reggie invited Mr. Rosen to dinner at a Chicago steakhouse, Morton's. There, the two had a freewheeling conversation about the August 2000 fund-raiser, top Democratic Party figures, and the sex-and-drug laced lifestyles of rich donors.

"This story is filtering into the mainstream press, although so far they are only trying to bury it. "

Call your local newspaper and news stations and ask them where the news on the Rosen trial is. The number to Atlanta Journal & Constitution is 404-526-5342 for my fellow Georgians.

This trial will last a few weeks. Let's keep up the heat on MSM. It's called quality control.

Hillary must be really busy. She hasn't said boo. Crap is coming at her from every direction. She must be preparing a Russert giggle session on the right wing conspiracy.

Ya know Tim.....

Bubba is laughing his head off watching her sweat, AWAY FROM HER and with a nice plush job at the UN under the watchful eye of Bush Sr.. I'm sure Bubba wants to visit all those countries which like to "go native".

Frist is still protecting the neocomunist Senate dem scumbags by refusing to release the incriminating memos found on the dem crapweasel Judiciary Committee computer. He is terrified of Fat Teddy.

Why does anyone believe that the meek Republicans would utilize a sworn tape to indict any dem who they feared. Hilly would go to Biden, Schmuckie or Leahy and threaten them and they, in turn, would got to Frist and tell him what to do.

The Republicans appear to be incapable of using the ongoing filth and corruption of the dems as a tool. They seem to be terrified of the dems and their tactics. So, instead of going on the offense, the Republicans slowly give way to the crapweasels, appear to be defend DeLay who is made to look weaker every day, and come out on the short end of every issue.

The Republicans will do nothing with this tape for fear of being accused by Reid and Pelosi of being mean and of failing to act in a bipartisan manner.

If Rosen were black, Gore woulda had Rosen sit in the back seat - waiting for him while Gore went into the restaurant to eat!

As soon as I heard it reported that Judicial Watch is getting in on this I lost any and all hope of anything coming of this. Judicial Watch involvement is the kiss of death.

Judcial Watch's current record is 0 - 1,378,384

I'm tired of being caught in lies and obfuscation. Please, why don't you leave me and my husband alone? He wants another Intern and I am so sick of all this Right Wing persecution.

If true, it means Clinton cheated her way into office. Surprised?

Getting close to time for Rosen to cut a deal or be overcome with an "Arkancidal" urge.

It would great to see the names of these depraved limo libs and then read what they did while drugged and into their depraved sex lives.

Hi Grampa Dave! My husband was listening to Boston talk radio most of yesterday, which was going nutz over what is on that tape. I didn't hear these broadcasts myself, but according to my husband's report of what he heard, the 2000 HRC fundraiser was a sex and drugs and rock-and-roll event, complete with prostitutes hired (by Mr. Rosen?) to "entertain" party luminaries, donors, etc. Mr. Rosen quoted Bill Clinton as saying that "just as soon as he was out of office," he wanted to "party with Mr. Rosen, for Mr. Rosen sure knew how to party." Or words to that effect. Lots of high muckety-mucks in the DNC and Democrat Party are going to have egg all over their faces if what the Boston "talk jocks" are saying is actually true. Somebody has apparently leaked this tape already; and stuff this salacious is difficult to hush up. I imagine the Dems are in major damage control mode even as we speak. Plus Rosen gossipped at length about the Hollyweed crowd -- who's into drugs, who's sleeping with whom, etc., etc. Very embarrassing for a lot of folks, if this stuff gets publicized.

Stay tuned! The radio boys are all over this story.... One suspects we will be hearing more about this very soon.

This is the "Two-Party Cartel". They are run by the elites & these elites don't want a true conservative agenda to ever get established as it isn't in their interest. The only reason that conservatives are making gains is because we know the game & we are making the RINOs & other moderates tow the line.

I don't agree with you.

This is NOT 1992. Reno is not in the DOJ. There is FR, FOX, and a whole host of right thinking radio.

And .. the Kerry/Kennedy/Dean cabal - want to get rid of her.

It would be great if Rush, Sean and regional conservative talk show hosts got hold of that tape and played from now to the next decade.

None of these bastards are going to jail thanks to their lawyers and the MSM.

However, this might be so embarrassing, a few of them will drop out of public life. Also, maybe more moderates will come over to our side.
