With the trial of a key finance official on Senator Clinton's 2000 campaign set to open tomorrow, a secretly recorded audiotape at the core of the case could prove embarrassing to politicians, political operatives, and wealthy donors to the Democratic Party. David Rosen, 40, faces three felony counts of causing the filing of false campaign finance reports in connection with a celebrity-studded fund-raiser and concert held in August 2000 at a radio executive's estate in the Brentwood hills above Los Angeles. Prosecutors have asserted that the true cost of the gala was more than $1 million but that Mr. Rosen reported costs of just $400,000 as part of a scheme to increase the funds Mrs. Clinton had to spend on her Senate bid. Mr. Rosen, now a Chicago-based political consultant, has pleaded not guilty to the charges. As part of the investigation into the alleged under-reporting, the FBI asked a New Orleans political consultant and friend of Mr. Rosen, Raymond Reggie, to wear a wire and surreptitiously record the former Clinton aide. In September 2002, Reggie invited Mr. Rosen to dinner at a Chicago steakhouse, Morton's. There, the two had a freewheeling conversation about the August 2000 fund-raiser, top Democratic Party figures, and the sex-and-drug laced lifestyles of rich donors.

Does anyone know if the judge in this case is allowing cameras/open courtroom?
I'm just waiting for the democrites to start calling this a witch hunt. ;)

Thanks for the ping!
I expect that the feds have a lot of really good stuff, all of it solid...they're allowing these slow leaks...casting small stones in the pond..see what stirs up and crawls out...you can expect that a lot of people have dirty hands..and just maybe one or more will worry, and approach the feds to make a deal, and offer up a lot..
Hillary is running around like crazy...looking for her file on the judge. Thinks she might have thrown it out with the Whitewater files.

It would great to see the names of these depraved limo libs and then read what they did while drugged and into their depraved sex lives.

Doug From Upland is all over this story

Yep, casting stones into the pond to create the "roll over" action with these elite limo libs.
George W. Bush has secret tapes released and they prove he is the man in private that he is in the public.
Democrats have secret tapes and they are terrified the full extent of who they are in private will be made known.
Interesting.
Mr. Rosen is pissed because The Goron acted perfectly natural? More accommodation Mr. Rosen, please.
Why would anyone who tknows Hillary as a sly, cunning, calculating, control freak wouldn't know the exactly numbers for her fundraiser?
Can't the Democrats get one of their Federal Judges to order the tape turned over to him before the trial starts? I mean, what are they paying these people for? ;)
Waiting here for juicy details.....
Doug from Upland said he would be attending the trial Thursday (I think). Don't know about cameras, but I can't think of any legal reason this could be closed.
This story is filtering into the mainstream press, although so far they are only trying to bury it. But you know they are worried when they try to bury it by publishing lying articles instead of their usual policy of ignoring it completely.
as much as i would love the media is not going to let something this simple trip up their goddess
