BANGKOK, May 10 (TNA) - The fashion among teenagers for injecting their penises with olive oil to boost their size could cause misshaped members and even permanent erections, the Director-General of the Department of Medical Services, Dr. Chatri Banchuin, warned today.
Speaking in response to reports that youths in Thailand's central province of Ayutthaya were injecting their penises with olive oil and beta agonists used to redden meat, Dr. Chatri said that the injection of any kind of substance into the penis was extremely dangerous.
Rather than expanding penis size, the oil builds up in the penis.
As the body attempts to reject the invasion of foreign substances, the result is swelling, inflammation and abscesses.
If dirty needles are used, the dangers are even more severe, and could lead to the penis being completely amputated.
There is also a danger of the oil being injected into the bloodstream by mistake, from where it can infect vital organs and even lead to death.
Even if these severe effects are treated successfully, the penis often ends up crooked or in permanent erection. (TNA)--E006

Two shots in the brain, but ruled suicide
WASSAYOS NGAMKHAM
A woman whose father died from two bullets in the brain, which police concluded was suicide, has asked the Crime Suppression Division to look into the case.
Somruedee Charoenkrongsakul, 31, of Nonthaburi, yesterday filed a complaint with Pol Lt-Col Wipat Ratcha-in of the Crime Suppression Division's unit 4 demanding an investigation into the death of her father Sompong Charoenkrongsakul, 65.
Sompong, a retired land official of Sa Kaeo, was found dead in his Prachin Buri house with two gunshot wounds in his right ear on Dec 25.
She said Prachin Buri Muang district police concluded that it was suicide, but she and some doctors believed it was murder.
Her father had no motive to take his own life. He was healthy, had no debts, conflicts or life insurance, and showed no sign of worry when he telephoned her a few days before his death.
A senior police officer of the Forensic Science Institute had been shown crime scene photos and concluded it was murder with a cover-up attempt, she said.
He told her it was very rare for people to shoot themselves twice, especially as in this case both bullets hit the brain, Ms Somruedee said.
It was also suspicious for the gun to be in her father's left hand, supported with his right hand and lying on his chest.
``After a month, autopsy results from the Forensic Science Institute showed that death was caused by the damage to the skull-base brain caused by one of the bullets.
``After reading the results which gave details of the trajectory, found no toxin in his body and said my father died from one of the bullets which hit his brain, an inspector rushed to the conclusion that it was a suicide,'' she said.
``Relatives asked police about the dubious points, especially both hands holding the gun and placed on his chest.
``The inspector claimed that my father might not have died after firing the first shot, so he could have fired the second shot and might have put his hands on his chest before dying.
``But I believe that's impossible,'' Ms Somruedee said.
She wanted CSD police to review the case, which was closed after the police conclusion was accepted by the public prosecutors' office.
Not in Thailand. :)
Words really fail me here.
"injecting their penises with olive oil and beta agonists used to redden meat"
why would ya wanna redden it?
"Even if these severe effects are treated successfully, the penis often ends up crooked or in permanent erection."
And a permanent erection is a bad thing because...? ;)
the women get tired.
