Actually, I am willing to bet that Tancredo has reason to suspect that Tom DeLay was out there at Karl Rove's behest backstabbing him first. So likely we are witnessing a little bit of a congressional cat find...and DeLay is simply taking advantage of the Rat-created brou-ha-ha to pile on and return the favor.

The thing that has always been so upsetting with GWB has been the clear evidence that in fact he is, in a broad array of issues, a liberal, who adopts conservative positions purely out of political calculation. Even when expressing himself on those conservative positions, it always seems half-hearted and the policies he implements conflicted.
We have been pleasantly surprised by his clear-headed "take-it-to-the terrorists" Offensive WOT to smoke 'em out, rather than sitting back playing defense. (not that we shouldn't also be restoring border security!). Other short-list positives (by no means a complete list) His dissing the Kyoto Accord. The ICC Criminal Court. And of course appointing John Bolton.
So we continue to stand with GWB out of convenience...just as he purports to stand with us. But when he doesn't you are indeed entitled to speak your mind. This IS a Free Republic.
But you always are looking over your shoulder fearing for the fatal political stab in the back. You always know it is coming. Ask yourself this one question...why is the Law of the Sea Treaty, which sets up an International Authority to tax, and rule over among others, the U.S. and its use of the seas....still being considered under this Administration after Ronald Reagan so thoroughly rejected it? This one treaty...and the state Dept staffers pushing it through...should be nothing but cinders and ashes blowing in the wind. Why is the President so silent on this clear issue endangering our national sovereignty? Why is he himself not castigating the Supremes who have abdicated 200+ years of history and embraced "International" law standards for reviewing our own laws?

The President was sponsored by people who favor globalization. He is not going to give anything but lip service to your interest, mine, or America in general. The guy has been bought and sold, the only nod we get in our direction is a silly cowboy hat and a bunch of rhetorical gibberish. The average American voter deserves no respect; we value our votes too lightly and rush to give them away. It has gotten so bad that we no even care what we are sold; so long as they are branded "R" or a "D" next to their name.
There is only one way to change that, and that is by making it a practice to vote for yourself. Write your own name on the ballot and cast it that way until you finally see a candidate that is absolutely worthy of your support. Your vote will only be counted when you demonstrate that it is worth something.

"A'hem. Articles of Impeachment are commenced and drawn up in the House of Representatives. "I am aware of this, as well as Congressman Tancredo's "mention". And i am aware that an impeachment is tried in the Senate. I am not even recommending that we go there, just that a few voices in the dark might get somebody's attention. Nothing has worked yet.
