ALL Bush nominees get an up or down vote or the Republican party must pay the price. If the Republicans were too stupid and complacent to put up with this, then nothing is every going to change.
We've elected Republicans for a decade and have nothing to show for it. Spending exploded under the Republicans during the first four years of Bush, the Minute Men are doing more to stop illegal immigration and the GOP refuses to stop left-wing judge continue decide key social issues from the bench without Constitutional authority to do so.
The Republicans either get ALL of Bush nominees up or down votes or many will lose their jobs. If that doesn't happen, the conservative movement deserves to die.

Given that Trent is from one of the reddest states in the union, Trent needs to consider retiring if this ends up going down.
Conservatives like Sean Hannity did nothing but support Lott after his remarks about Strom Thurmond and this is how he repays those that supported him?

OK .. I finally got through
I basically told the Staffer to tell Santorum to squash the deal or lose the base and they can forget 06 & 08
That we didn't bust our butts getting Republicans in office so they would bend over to the Dems
Gotta head .. but will call Spector when I get back

"Surprised that a 10 paragraph explanation saying a guy named Jose from Matamoros hasn't been posted yet on this thread."Most of us would choose that 10 paragraphs as a small rice to pay for avoiding just one line of your senseless babble. Like most of your posts, this too is beyond comprehension.

Hannity has become somewhat of an embarassment to conservatives.
The whole run away bride issue was a waste of bandwidth when he should have been talking about Bolton, the filibuster, or any other number of topics. I remember in the susan smith case he said (quite correctly in my opinion) that Smith needed to do the time. Now in this case, he seems to be making excuses for this idiot who ditched her husband at the alter. WHO CARES?!
If hannity does not rake lott over the coals over this he is finsihed.
Is this deal out on the blogs yet? It's not on the ones I read.

I'm dying to hear the response you got from the staffer you spoke with.... Probably the same as the ones I got from all of them: "I'll be happy to share your remarks with the Senator", right? No indication of what they plan to do or how they'll vote.... Can you say trial balloon?
That's why all of us FReepers need to bombard these spinless weaklings with phone calls, faxes and emails!

I just now got off the phone with Hagel's office.

Any deal that punishes a lady of the caliber of Mrs. Brown is not a "deal" but surrender. Cowardice is forever.

I told McCain's office there are too many rinos in the Senate, and we know who they are. There will be a backlash from we Republican voters if the deal is made with the Dims.
On to Chaffey.

I just sent an email to Senator Frist expressing my anger at the suggestion of a compromise on the filibuster. Be nice but very direct on what the consequences will be to any Republican Senator voting for this compromise. Let the Conservatives demostrate to the spineless Republicans who controls the party and the power of the Internet. This power should also be demostrated on the immigration issue as well.

I got right through to Senator Santorum's office and asked him to really go all out for this cause. The receptionist was very polite and certainly understood my meaning when I said the Senator was maybe having a bit of a problem with his conservative base because of his past support of their senior senator. I said this is a chance to redeem himself by seeing these judges voted on.
To: savedbygrace
This sounds like Reid's proposal from a week or so ago. It was firmly trounced and bounced out on its ear by a cajone-filled Frist. Why do you think this has suddenly risen from the grave as a cajone-less Lott proposal? There are plenty of possibilities. Could be nothing more than media bluster, or it could be a signal that given the passage of time, more than 5 GOP Senators have signalled an intention to vote against holding the Senate to its Constitutional duty.

May Senator McCain make his failed bid for the presidency once again and remove his sorry face from "public service" for good!

They knew I was calling McCain a rino. I told them we Republicans came together and Daschel(sp?) is out of a job. And there will be a price to pay if the Repubs cut a deal with the dims. I added at the end, Where's Daschel today?

Good job! I'm beginning to think that we ought to be calling the White House and complaining that they need to start taking these runaway RINO Senators to the wood shed. At the very least, the administration probably has each of these RINO Senator's biggest supporters on speed dial. They need to start calling THEM to put on the political pressure.
IT'S TIME FOR SOME RACK 'EM SACK 'EM POLITICAL HARDBALL!
To: pbrown
I got thru to Frist's office.
Told them we worked our hearts out to get the President re-elected and we expect Frist to be a leader and get the judges out of committe for a vote.
Told her I was especially dismayed at the thought of abandoning the judge from California.
