There is an internet vandal who defaces Free Republic with very gross pictures (homosexual sex and stuff from rotton.com) as well as posting "ALL YOU F***** N*****S & JEWS SHOULD BE LYNCHED".
He pings a variety of people to his post, ensuring that the trash is still in their My Posts lists.
To me, this isn't the milder form of harassment that Eschoir engaged in so many years ago. The very worst he would do is ask if you ever committed sodomy, and he once used the screen name "Paula Jones Tw*t". This is mild.
What this sick piece of work is doing is much more egregious. I believe it crosses the line into criminal defacement and restraint of trade. Are there any Free Republic lawyers (especially prosecutors) who can address this issue, and are there any private detectives with internet savvy that will help track the identity of this person down?
LOL!
About all that can be done technically is to coordinate between FRs ISP and the offender's ISP and get them blocked at the ISP level. Usually this takes a bit of political savvy, but it has been done...
Can be somewhat amusing.
Real statements in response to said weird sightings, "OMG, is she like, what, 12 or something? Wow, she's really digging into the rag bag for that outfit. Umm.. is that a ghost, redead, or walking corpse coming this way. Eeep, it speaks!"
Yah need to be gettin' choreself sum more werk. Udderwise, yah going ta wind up like me lazee son-in-law, what him got himself only tree jobs!
TREE JOBS, fah goodness sake!
Talk about yah lazee layabouts.
"I would support having a "posting images privilege" restricted to members who have been here a certain amount of time. If someone new wanted to post, they could always run it by the Mods for screening."
After the idiot doing a drive by posting on this thread
I think this is a great idea. I am a relative newcomer here, but have noticed that most trolls are hit and run posters. If they had to sign up and wait a few days for posting ability, some or hopefully most would lose interest. It would be tougher for them to get their kicks and folks seriously interested in FR usually lurk around for a while before posting anyway.

I see you've set aside this special time to humiliate yourself in public. If I throw a stick, will you leave?
Sadly, that one might fetch and bring it back...
I'm working on figuring out where the "anpr" screen name may have come from, but it's not easy. It's an odd assembly of letters, and not one that would probably be picked at random.
No hits on anpr101 so far, so I'll have to back down to just the "anpr," and there are lots and lots of hits for that.
Obviously young, and I think that judenIh8 link at yahoo is our most likely suspect. I'll see if I can link it with the "anpr" screenname.
Could take a while.
THANKS.
I searched on "anpr" as well.
It came up with Association of National Park Rangers.
I have a feeling were not dealing with anyone related to Smokey the Bear, however. (<:
I saw how you were working on that, earlier in the thread.
NICE work!
The "judenIh8" is interesting, too.
Saw that profile on the link you posted.
May not be our guy, but he's damn-sure Evil.
I'm not doing much today..
anything I can do to help?
I see by your post time that you live in the Pacific Northwest, and that you posted this right before going to school.
Why are you helping us?
"It came up with Association of National Park Rangers.
"
Yeah. That seems unlikely, and there just aren't a lot of hits otherwise. There some automatic license number recognition sites, and a Brazilian agency of some kind, but no good leads.
I still don't see this as a random combination of letters, though.
LOL.
I am one of them!
I normally don't advocate violence, but in this case I'll make an exception!
Tar and feathers should do it!
I'm thinking something more destructive and permanent.
*chuckle*
Of course, I'm trying to think of where I can get that much acrylic to make the world's biggest joke 'bug in the ice' ice cube.
American Nazi Party R-something?
Aryan Nation P-R-something?
Perhaps it's a cry for help from this deformed soul.
Interesting combinations. I'll look into them.
I do a lot of word puzzles (smile).
