This may interest you. It is powerful. History in photos, and a fine narrative by a Viet Vet.
All I know is that half the boomers were nothing but spoiled brats, and still are today.
The other half won the Cold War, and sometimes died doing it.
History now judges both groups, as God does too.
Wow, well said!
They will go down in history as a "wicked and adulterous generation" . They expanded Social Security and are in the process of draining it dry; they expanded Medicare/Medicaid and are in the process of draining it dry ; they expanded union power and as a result manufacturing is done overseas instead of here. Etc. etc.
Amen, FRiend.
"One memorable Viet Nam war photo is the picture of children fleeing down a road from
where a napalm bomb was dropped by the South Vietnamese Air Force
on the village of Trang Bang where Viet Cong were holed up."
Another fact, "forgotten" by so many, so US Troops could be blamed.
That child's not an innocent victim of war, she's an innocent victim of muslim terror.

TS
Thanks for the ping!
My husband and I are at the beginning of the baby boom and I would give up any increase in SS in exchange for a tax reduction on our 401k and IRA, and permanent reduction in the capital gains tax.
Thanks for this ping and SALUTE for what you are doing for our Troops.
What's with all this hatred for boomers?
Is it a need to find somebody to blame? Disinformation trolls trying to get us to hate somebody other than Bush?
This boomer grew up knowing that the MSM wasn't reporting things the way I saw them. (I figured that out during the Goldwater presidential campaign when I'd hear a Goldwater speech and then the commentator would try to tell me what I'd just heard. Even as a youngster, I knew there was an agenda!)
Cronkite and David Brinkley are too old to fall within the boomer group.
And how can those boomers born between 1946-1964 be draining social security? (Somebody born in 1946 is only 59 this year!)
I suspect the photos followed public opinion rather than led it. I think the negative photos of Viet Nam came more frequently as public opinion changed.
Also public opinion affect whether or not a picture is positively or negatively perceived. There have been plenty of pictures of the WOT that might have been viewed more negatively had the US not been attacked. Heck the loons on DU got mad at Bush over the photo of the soldier carrying the little girl at the top of this post.
.......and the duplicity plus cynicism of their propaganda against our president is so blatant. Their "message" is that if Bush hadn't gone into Iraq, children like this one would still be alive. Not so. Tens of thousands of children were brutally raped and murdered to fill Saddam's mass graves which now number in the several hundred thousand of victims. That would still be ongoing, if this courageous president hadn't taken the bull by the horns and ended Hussein's atrocities.
Thanks for the ping, Tonk. Saved the "UnderFire" link to look at the 'Nam pics.

Good point!
I blame the Boomers for helping tear this country up in the 60's and 70's with their selfishenss. They weren't against the Viet Nam war as musc as against their personal involvement in it.
Boomers have become the Most Hypocritical Generation...first with Never Trust Anyone Over 30 and being anti establishment to becoming the It's All About Me generation and becoming the Establishment.
The same people who mocked me for joining the military in the 70's confided some 20 years later that wished that they had done so also. Yeah, right.
And all of us in the boomer generation do not fit into that category.
