This may interest you. It is powerful. History in photos, and a fine narrative by a Viet Vet.
All I know is that half the boomers were nothing but spoiled brats, and still are today.
The other half won the Cold War, and sometimes died doing it.
History now judges both groups, as God does too.
"One memorable Viet Nam war photo is the picture of children fleeing down a road from
where a napalm bomb was dropped by the South Vietnamese Air Force
on the village of Trang Bang where Viet Cong were holed up."
Another fact, "forgotten" by so many, so US Troops could be blamed.
That child's not an innocent victim of war, she's an innocent victim of muslim terror.
I suspect the photos followed public opinion rather than led it. I think the negative photos of Viet Nam came more frequently as public opinion changed.
Also public opinion affect whether or not a picture is positively or negatively perceived. There have been plenty of pictures of the WOT that might have been viewed more negatively had the US not been attacked. Heck the loons on DU got mad at Bush over the photo of the soldier carrying the little girl at the top of this post.
How I feel about the photo of SGT Bieger and the child whose name I wish I knew is ... grieved, very VERY sad.
It also makes me even madder at the leftist, liberal "hate America" crowd, some of whom I confronted yesterday. Veterans for Peace were seated next to their so-called "Arlington West" at Santa Monica beach and I gave them H.E.L.L.
