Sex, lies, secret tape at center of trial [Sex, coccaine & Clinton's (Ray Reggie)]
Times-Picayune ^ | May 07, 2005 | By Martha Carr and Gordon Russell

Hotshot political fund-raiser David Rosen didn't hesitate when an old friend, visiting Chicago, called to invite him to a pricey meal at Morton's steakhouse. What Rosen didn't know was that his buddy, Democratic Party operative Ray Reggie of New Orleans, was working with FBI agents to record secretly the entire conversation, a tape that is expected to be key evidence as one of the hottest political trials of the year begins Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles.

Many more will get tangled in this. Just watch.
I'm thinking Kerry is the politician soliciting foreign contributions. However, it could be someone running for office in 2002, so who knows.

The liberal TV news networks have been suspiciously silent in regard to "one of the hottest political trials of the year ". The Clinton news blackout continues.

Now if this had been about Tom DeLay...

the guy said he spent $2 million.. on an event that raised $1.4[New NEA/'Rat math, or..money laundering soft to hard]

Both Clintons are targeted [Don't hold your breath, whereas if it as Tom Delay....]

alleges in his civil case that he gave close to $2 million to Hillary Clinton's Senate campaign based on a promise that President Clinton would join Stan Lee Media when he left office.[Priceless.]

That promise was never fulfilled, he said. [Why is this not a suprise? No harm, no foul,..I guess..]

Very little said about Rosen... even less about Reggie. Paul has been on Hannity but he's got a record... so the MSM commisars figure it's OK to ignore his financial-rape by the Clinton's.

I was getting badgered at work about Tom Delay, who has done nothing wrong. When I pointed out this trial and its implications for the Clintons, I was told it was another attack on the Clintons by the evil right. In fact only one of the twits even knew about it, the rest just parrot the NYT and the gag inducing Saint Louis Post Dispatch. Its a shame, too. These people are all good freinds of mine, some of whom attended my wedding, and it drives me nuts that we can be worlds apart on something that is as plain on the fly on your nose to me; the complete lack of morals and honesty that Clintons embrace..

A partial transcript of the Sept. 4, 2002, tape obtained by The Times-Picayune captures a conversation rife with gossip about the seamy side of political life, including the sex, drugs and prostitutes enjoyed by big-name Democratic stalwarts. But in due course Reggie deftly steers the conversation toward the feds' main interest: an August 2000 Hollywood fund-raiser for New York Sen. Hillary Clinton that is at the center of Rosen's alleged crimes.

... In return for his cooperation and testimony at trial, the feds have recommended that Reggie, whose sister is married to U.S. Sen. Ted Kennedy, D-Mass., get no more than five years in prison on two bank fraud convictions unrelated to the political fund-raising scandal. He is set to be sentenced in October.

Nothing to see here - move along - the democrats are doing the "peoples" work...(can you imagine if this was about republicans).

What bothers me in the article is the statement that Peter Paul's civil suit against the Klintoons and Rosen is "losing ground" in court. Peter Paul is up against powerful forces in his attempts to expose Billary machinations.

Methinks Hillary, Bubba and their sleaze mouthpiece, Kendall, will marginalize and then vaporize this man with the same deft operations in which other Klintoon opponents have been destroyed, physically, mentally, financially and reputation-wise.

"The former White House wanted to hire, or argue the case in a certain way," Rosen says in the transcript. "And I did it for them. Like, I bit the bullet and went in as a guinea pig, and argued their argument for me. Instead of frettin' and runnin' and coverin' my ass, I was a good soldier. . . . So far it's worked out, but I coulda done it a lot different."

Rosen apparently doesn't understand that Clinton Guinea Pigs don't live long....

Let this one simmer a bit. We don't want the cake to fall from too much noise. Let this one come out in about a year.

In my line-of-work, I'm surrounded by liberals... and some that are nothing short of communists.

Over the years, I have found that expousing a conservative viewpoint can/will be harmful to your career aspirations. There is a personal hatred that these people hold for anyone without a 'socialist' attitude.

My advice to you is to not look for deep, political discourse with these types... their depths are way too shallow for navigation. Indeed, sharp rocks lie close to the surface!

Rosen's like a dude that burns down an appartment bulding so the owner can collect on the insurance. When he meets the owner to get paid... the owner pulls out a shotgun instead!

This story has the potential for some great theater.

As far as the average sheeple are concerned, Soft money, hard money, breaking the complicated election rules, everybody does it, who cares?

But bring in sex, drugs and Hollywood, and we've got some bada-bing!

What's new here is that "the feds have recommended that Reggie...get no more than five years in prison on two bank fraud convictions unrelated to the political fund-raising scandal." Looks like the feds have done a good job setting up their ducks.

In the transcribed conversation with Reggie, Rosen says his defense in the civil case was being coordinated with lawyers for the Clintons, and he expresses concern that this might not be in his best interests.

Remember in the Kenneth Starr investigation, that all the White House players had Washington power-lawyers who were coordinating their various clients' defenses, marginally permitted under a "joint defense" agreement filed with the court?

And so we found little Betty Curry, for example, was represented by one of the big Washington lawyers, the fees being "covered" by who-knows-how.

When Nixon tried to play this game, it was called a 'conspiracy' and a 'cover-up'. But the dems do it reflexively, and none of those words are used by the MSM to describe the game.

And it's a violation of legal ethics to purport to represent "Betty Curry" when you're really representing (when push comes to shove) the interests of the Clintons.

And now Rosen finds himself in the same boat, and Kendall is again in the background, orchestrating for Hilary's advantage, and Rosen will just have to hang in the wind.
