Proof that Google is increasingly undergoing preferential linkages to Democrats was discovered this morning. Why is FreeRepublic not linked by Google News, but the "Democratic Underground Website" is? Just curious as to why we don't make 'news', but they do.
If you do a search this morning on Google News on God Darwin Schools, you'll find 'Darwin's Lament', an utterly vapid discourse that is not worth even reading. But I have never seen Google New link to us...

{When it comes to the Left's love affair with Darwin (and Margaret Sanger FTM), I've always found the fact that Chucky was a proponent of eugenics and believed that the it was necessary for the "inferior races" to disappear and that there was no need for developed peoples to try to protect them and keep them alive. He compared this situation to people who raised breeding animals:
"With savages, the weak in body or mind are soon eliminated; and those that survive commonly exhibit a vigorous state of health. We civilized men, on the other hand, do our utmost to check the process of elimination; we build asylums for the imbecile, the maimed, and the sick; we institute poor-laws; and our medical men exert their utmost skill to save the life of every one to the last moment. There is reason to believe that vaccination has preserved thousands, who from a weak constitution would formerly have succumbed to small-pox. Thus the weak members of civilized societies propagate their kind. No one who has attended to the breeding of domestic animals will doubt that this must be highly injurious to the race of man. (Charles Darwin, The Descent of Man, 2nd edition, New York, A L. Burt Co., 1874, p. 171)"}
Well I pinged you gentleman to this thread and posting from Bikepacker because I have been criticized for linking proponents of Darwinist Evolution with Socialism and the Eugenics movements of the early 1900's. It seems like Darwin himself had some "positive" thoughts concerning Eugenics and the "potential benefits" on man-kind!
And you wonder why "so called bigoted antiscience Christian types" are so suspicious of the motives of those who push the notion that the theory of evolution must be unquestioned in the minds of men!?
PS: I'll give you a hint, Christians are also aware of history of the past century, and of the many "isms" that arose to murder, maims, and enslave billions. They know that while most scientists just want to do science, it is the "Lysenkoist politician types" that will take basically neutral, non tautologous scientific conclusions and twist them in support of vile and insane policies that would destroy the basic freedoms of men.
Washington said it was the popular consensus regarding "religion and morality, the "twin Props of freedom" that guarantee our nation's freedom.
No scientific theory or conclusion created a freedom or a basic human right...but in our country, religious convictions did!

"Who are the "owners" of Google?" Controlling owners?
"Profile: The Google founders" from here. Actually, not really surprised by what I read.
Found this also when I google 'google owners':
Google Shares Surprise to Some
Congratulations. You got in on the Google IPO or maybe youre still thinking about jumping on this turbo-charged bandwagon.
The Internet search engine god finally began trading Wednesday and promptly soared above its greatly reduced $85 offering price. Thursday the stock (GOOG on Nasdaq) was up even more.
Many Google-heads are in search engine heaven, knowing they own a piece of this Internet marvel. What they may not realize is that while they and a bunch of their friends may own stock, they wont have any say in major company decisions or have a vote on the board of directors.
Largely overlooked in the hubbub around the IPO was the notice that Google management intended to retain Class B shares of stock while regular investors got Class A shares.
Class B shares have ten votes for every one vote of Class A shares of stock. The bottom line, as accountants like to say, is that the management of Google retains control of the board of directors, and the company.
They can elect anyone they want to the board and make any decision they want because they will have enough votes to trump any shareholder objection.
There is nothing illegal about this, however, investors will want to watch carefully how Google manages public and shareholder relations. Given the missteps prior to going public, it will be interesting to see if the company can make the transition from private to public company.

Agreed. I've found tons too. But not using the Google 'News' feature ...; that was my point. Why is the DU opinion website now seen as 'news'?

Right ... if google isn't perceptive enough to understand that the exposure of the foaming at the mouth rants specialized in by DU will turn off the general public to their "progressive" (snicker) agenda than who are we to enlighten them?

Web developers aren't the problem, its machines to run it on. Google runs on hundreds of thousands of processors.

"I don't know why -- but I'm going to start going to Yahoo."
Yahoo's search is easier to use.
If there is dirt on a liberal writer or any liberal, the Yahoo search will provide the links. Often Google provides nothing.

This is a good thing, hopefully regular folks will go there to read the "news" and get drawn into the forum and see what the DUmmies are like.

"I'm starting to seriously not like Google. How else to search easily, thought, for idiots like lj?"
As you know, Yahoo can let us know if some whacked out maggot acting like it is a journalist has a long history of pushing the gay agenda and DU provides nothing on its search.
Yahoo Search is the easiest search to use for any search. Got an address that you need directions. Just type in the address and use the map feature.
Whenever I see an anti GW article from some unknown so called non profit to me, I enter the name of the non profit and Soros and start the search. Often the links let us know that the phoney non profit was started with funding from Soros and continues to get funding.
