If Jews know better than anybody else what kind of an unbalanced mind it takes to produce the sickness of prejudice, why do they so comfortably practice it themselves by making a special target of prejudice any member of the Republican Party, especially if he is recognized as a far-right Republican? Somehow Jews have all always been enraptured by the words "liberal" or "Democrat." We convinced ourselves that the word "liberal" and "Jew" is a package made in heaven, ordained by God like a marriage, consecrated till death do us part. Love may be blind, but does it also have to be deaf and dumb — which it must be for Jews who can't recognize the contempt many liberals have for them.
The story of Harry Truman is a perfect example. Jews are still blinded from the reality of Harry Truman's real character, and possessed of a romanticized version of his love for the Jewish people. Whenever a Jew opened his mouth, the story of Truman's Jewish partner in the haberdashery business came flying through his teeth, blinded to the fact that Truman not only found Jews distasteful and repulsive but even thought of his Jewish partner as a burden he had to bear because he couldn't find any gentile in town who would trust him with his cash. It is a historical fact that Truman never invited his partner to his home, never even asked him if he was happy or healthy; he only cared if his hand could move enough to sign a check.

I live in south florida and see this first hand on a daily basis. Some of my own family members are the same way. The elders still think it's JFKs party. They don't have a clue about the vile anti-Semites that infect their party at the highest levels.

All the anti-Jewish people I meet are liberals. I can't figure out how they can't see it.

Jews have the same tradition, but I do see a change in allegiance by some younger Jews, much like many of the Irish no longer are automatic democrats. We had Reagan. The Jews have Norm Coleman taking a lead on the right.
I think the same gentics were in the Jews who didn't leave Germany and the Jews who are now for the Democrats.
One friend of mine knows absolutely nothing about politics, is a Jew, and thinks that Democrats are for the working man and Republicans are for the rich.

You can ask the same question on gun control to Mainline Protestant organizations(Methodists, PCUSA) as well as some Catholic leadership orgs(Michigan Catholic Conference fought CPLS, which annoyed me to say the least).

This excellent article says it all. Actually, I believe American Jews have a self-inflicted death wish. Their hatred for Republicans and GW Bush is stupid, foolish and self-destructive. However, when you are with them in private, it is amazing how they hate and bad mouth Blacks and Hispanics!!! I hate to say it, these folks do not have a clue. They live in their own cloistered world in their "tight" communities and spin their political fantasy among only themselves. Actually, they deserve our sorrow, because in a world with growing Muslim and Third world influence, they are a declining group. Thank God for Israel and the IDF. They see thiongs the way they really are. That is why the Republicans and GW Bush are so popular in the state of Israel. Isreali's know where their bread is buttered, and who is really going to be at their side, as they fight for their country and their lives.
In 2004, 50% of practicing Jews voted for Bush. That is an astounding turnaround. The tide has turned.
I politically converted my Jewish mother in law by telling her about the St. Louis. She started to think back and remembered it. She couldn't answer the question of why Jews in America gave fdr a pass for that dirty low down act.
Older Jews will vote rat until they die, but things are changing. In Florida younger Jews voted GOP at a rate of about 1/3. Also, the Jews going to South Florida are moving to Palm Beach County and not Maimi Dade and Broward as they once did. This is nice since the only damage they can do is limited to making crazy bobby wexler think he is important.
