Yankee fans care only about their team winning; the success/failure of other teams means little or nothing to them (as it should).

By way of contrast, fans of the teams in the Yankees' division root for the Yankees to lose just as enthusiastically as they root for their own teams to win. ....a fairly pathetic state of affairs, and a sure indication of incurable envy.
