For the freedom you enjoyed yesterday...
Thank the Veterans who served in The United States Armed Forces.
~May~ National Military Appreciation Month~
We thank you, you who volunteer To join the military to protect what's here... The Constitution, the Rule of law, Our way of freedom loved by all In this wondrous land of ours Whose Stars and Stripes flow freely Oer the land, whose seas are free, Dont tread on us... we are too, proud To let you turn us into dust!
We appreciate your bravery, your valor, Your honor, your gallantry, Thank You for all you do. And let Freedom ring the whole world through.
The price that's paid for freedom made an entire family terribly sad. A nation must know the price that's paid of blood, of tears, of love, greater than any made a life for freedom paid.
May our gracious God touch the hearts and ease their pain. Their loved one did not die in vain... A Hero walks tall in a lofty land of peace and will be forever young, In the Mansions of the Lord.
Amen

Good evening, friends! How are things tonight? Had some big thunderstorms roll through this afternoon - maybe spring is finally coming!

I learned of his death here. I used to watch him on TV when he was on the different talk shows.
I am sorry he is gone.

The day turned out to be fabulous. I walked to the pharmacy and sat in the back yard for a while. WOW, that was grand.

Hi Colonel!
I bet Spring and Summer in your area are really pleasant.
We've had some nice rain off and on here for a day or
so, and it's been most welcome.

Greetings, FReepers, Troops,
and All the Ships at Sea!
Reporting LIVE! from the Dust Bowl in suinny Fort Irwin, it's Day 151 of Sarge's Most Excellent Adventure! And come to find out that, after carefully typing up today's Daily Report, and saving it to a "geek stick", as these USB drives are named, plugging it into one of the computer lab's boxes shows the whole file is corrupted. So, Sarge has to type this one out long-hand, so be patient, and read slow...
Sandstorms and high winds swept thru Tent City today, and more to come tomorrow. But the light side was, cool temps prevailed - it never reached 70 here in Death Valley. And more of the same, tomorrow.
The street vendors are doing a booming business - another entrepreneurial dream for many folks out here. Angus burgers are delicious, BTW...
The fact that Sarge can find computers out here is a subject of fascination with several of the Kids of The Company. Especially when Sarge tells them how to find it. And to say nothing of the weather reports, and the news tidbits, it kind of contributes, in a way.
Sarge will be in the area for a little bit, so Let's Have Fun!

...or "here comes Amarillo!!" LOL! Ours here in Odessa aren't quite as bad as Lubbock. I used to live there in Lubbock, too, and had the worst allergies of my life! They still have those sandstorms in Lubbock.

Geek Stick? I'll have to pass that one around! Mine's an actual pen (my 007 or Agent Smart pen), but "geek stick" will spread like wildfire around here!
