I just got a Census update in the mail from our local Gov't. They noted I was 'randomly selected' and was very important that I respond to their request. And if I didn't respond, they would do a follow-up.

Bring it on ...

I put in a note saying I WILL NOT provide any information about myself or family until the Gov't (local and national) takes substantive steps to curb illegal immigration.

I've had it folks. If I get anymore RNC fundraising letters I'm going to do the same.

Its entirely possible the RNC DON'T WANT a victorious republican in 2008.. It IS the democrats turn you know.. Ignoring the Mexican border might be the evil plan.. Hillary gets elected and the RNC can wash their hands of the whole affair.. with deny-ablity built in..

Send your letter telling the Republican Party/RNC [And/or the Dims] back to them in their pre-paid envelope.

Good for you. I sent back three fundraising pleas, with specific instructions to start governing like conservatives, or else they get no more money from me.

You need to extend your protest to other conservative organizations as well. Outfits like the Heritage Club and particularly Club for Growth and the National Chamber of Commerce are awful on the illegal immigration issue and they don't deserve your money either.

I took considerable pleasure in ejecting a couple of guys from the National Chamber of Commerce from my office a few months ago. They understood EXACTLY how I felt about illegal immigration and their disgusting role in promoting it and I believe it was absolutely clear to them that they were not welcome on my premises.

What did the past admistrations do in last 40 years to do something about the borders?? Yes Bush should do something but I would like to know what Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan, Bush I, and Clinton do about the borders???

I sent back the same RNC fundraising letter saying the same thing. That I will not donate one more dime until Pres Bush publically APOLOGIZES for refering to the Minutemen as "vigilanties", and immediately demands Fox seal the Mexican borders to all Mexican illegals.

What an insane world it is when putting America & Americans first and desiring to defend the border from a multitude of threats is considered fringe. 1 in 30 residents in an illegal invader and yet you and your ilk just shrug your shoulders and say so what. A hand full of once defeated diseases and ailments are reappearing at an alarming rate and yet you just shrug your shoulders. The rights of Americans are violated and their property damaged or destroyed and you just shrug your shoulders. I read on here a month or so ago, where a FReeper sent the RNC one taped down penny. It would cost the RNC a lot more to process the paperwork on the penny donation. I thought that was a cool thing to do.

Obviously, either nothing, or not enough! But, do two wrongs make a right? WE are in control now and that's why WE should DO something.

There's a lot of us living in these border states and it's financially, among other ways....killing us to have this burden.

The Census was YEARS ago. I've never even heard of a "Census update". I think it's just a scam trying to get personal information from you. I would not respond to it in any way. If it was a few weeks or a few months after the last Census, then perhaps it might have been legitimate. But, as I said, it is now YEARS after the last Census.
