Senior Libyan al-Qaeda suspect Abu Faraj al-Libbi has been arrested in Pakistan, the government says.
Information Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said the suspect had been caught earlier in the week.
He would give no details of the arrest. Other reports said two suspects were captured in the Waziristan region of North West Frontier Province on Monday.
Libbi is said to have become third in the al-Qaeda hierarchy after Khalid Sheikh Mohammed was caught in 2003.
He is wanted in connection with two attempts on the life of Pakistan's President Pervez Musharraf.
More details soon.

Yes, it is huge! Just wish it was being told and applauded in our schools....trumpeted in the main media.
It is a sad situation that the news is always led by our mis-steps, never by our many successes!

There seems to have been a follow on raid I found this tidbit in a USA Today article.
But three Pakistani intelligence officials told AP on condition of anonymity that al-Libbi was one of two foreigners arrested Monday after a firefight on the outskirts of Mardan.
One of the officials said 11 more terror suspects including three Uzbeks, an Afghan and seven Pakistanis were arrests before dawn Wednesday in the Bajor tribal region. The official would not say what prompted authorities to launch the raid or whether it was linked to al-Libbi's capture.
Who was the other foreigner caught with al-Libbi.

One of the BS MSM Outlets (I was just channel surfing) reported that this individual is a courier between Bin Laden and other Al Qaeda associates, is this verified through a reliable source?

Since he was arrested by Pakistani forces, will they turn him over to us?
I'm not sure we can trust all of them.
