I sincerely hope that Angola stops this administrative reclassification BS. The outbreak is continuing, and seems to have spread out.
This is important for the world to know...I really hope someone picks up the Marburg story ball and runs with it.
We now KNOW what happens when Marburg strikes an urban area, rather than a rural one--many more people get sick and die, and the spread is fast.
The world needs to know this.
That it's spreading out is most worrisome...is it possible that its only a matter of proper containment measures not being properly applied or does this suggest that the standard measures are not being effective with this strain of Marburg?
Have the Angola government explained what they mean by "administrative reclassification"? Do they mean that someone died but they now don't think it was due to Marburg? Are they just trying to keep the toursts from panicking?
