Blessings to all Freepers who have come to know each other through the struggle to save the life of Terri Schiavo, a woman we came to know only through her family. We have not forgotten and we will never forget. It is useless to tell us to "get over it" "move on, she is dead.


Strange how some say move one, get over it, etc. - why do they say that to the Terri supporters and, yet, they are drawn to a thread related to Terri's misfortune? Cannot they get over it? I wonder if they can't fathom they believed the lie from the death culture that was enhanced by the talking heads. They may not want to be reminded they were seduced by evil to chant for death.

Those who follow God's word have spiritual discernment and can see the difference between good and evil. We CANNOT be fooled, we WILL NOT be fooled by the workings of satan - who kills, robs and destroys.

There is no turning back now for anyone - some cast their vote for goodness and mercy and condemned evil when they saw it being played out - in the midst of those that casts their vote for death. God knows everyones heart and he heard all our prayers, knows of our tears, knows the roller coaster ride we endured, sleepless nights, trying desperately to get the truth out amid the constant lies from media, God heard all the half truths, twisting of facts on message boards, saying what THEY want when it wasn't about them - selfishness, laughing at Schindler's support staff, poking fun at Terri, denying, through their words, a drop of water for a disabled person and condemned those who tried to bring her water.

Terri's battle is over and everything that was done is now set in stone. ExPatInFrance, thank you for the Joy ping. For most of us it is joy and not joyful for others as we ALL will reap what we sow, more than we sow, later than we sow.

In Terri Schindler's words, "where there is life, there is hope".

It still amazes me how gullible/ignorant people are. The fireman was in a comma, he had a whole brain with measurable activity. Schiavo's brain was almost completely disintegrated with no measurable activity. They are very different cases.

POINT OF CORRECTION: I know several Terri-supporters have said they thought they read that Terri was getting rehab help learning to walk using parallel bars, but I am not finding anything like that in the records.

If anyone finds proof this was true, please enlighten us all here or on the 'daily' thread..

The point is not that Terri was getting all the SAME therapy as the firefighter, Donald Herbert, but merely that they were BOTH somewhat responsive, and both BETTER than PVS... ("Minimally Conscious" it is called).

There DOES seems to be a decent outline of what her rehab was accomplishing in 1990 and 1991, (Note the bottom half of this article at the TEJ). It involved range of motion exercises, and just getting Terri to RESPOND to anything, smells, sounds, voices, photos, and things like opening her eyes or lifting her legs or arms on command.

These records showed Terri was slowly but clearly getting better, but then Michael cut her rehab to once a week, and then as soon as he got her rehabilitation money, he cut off ALL rehab treatments.

It was in one of these rehab-facilities, Mediplex, where her doctor wrote in her charts, she occasionally says "STOP" during procedures.

I've heard this often enough to wonder what's the source. Can you please give me the citation? Nobody has found it yet. When I ask people for it, they clam up.
