If I'd known Zell was going to be on, I'd have watched.

On a personal note How did he look? healthy?

I know next to nothing about this case except apparently the finance ran off and lied about a kidnapping? And that only from a quick scan on this very thread. I have no vested emotion either way in the prosecution of this woman other than the law be followed. This act cost time and money, I think they have a right to ask for it back. She obviously could benefit from counseling as well.

Many folks should be ashamed of themselves.

You are so right they just don't understand the south.

I hope and pray they don't do a thing to her. I have understood this story from the beginning.

There mama should have taught these people to keep there mouth shut unless they have something good to say.

I really think we need to not be mad. Our tax dollars weren't wasted. I imagine her father will pay for the manhunt in Georgia, and the New Mexico police already said they weren't going to prosecute.

So do con artists. I'm not impressed with manipulative people like this woman, anad I expect cops to be a bit more savvy.

I strongly doubt that her family or her will ever cough up a dime here, unless forced to. Her fiance has made it abundantly clear that he doesn't think she owes anybody any money for this search. And the people who bought her wedding gifts for her eight (!) showers won't ever get their money back either.

And I'm sorry, but I don't think this story is the least bit funny or cute or lighthearted. The next woman who goes missing, and is ignored by LEOs because of this case, may very well end up dead, in no small part because of hoaxes like this. That's no laughing matter.

I'm very interested in knowing the source for the story about previously broken engagements.

Yes, but I never put chutney in, it sounds very good. I haven't had chow chow on peas in years. We used to have black eyed peas on NY day till my eastern bred children revolted!

"little girl"

thirty-two (32) years old!

I knew I heard that -

Sean gets "wobbly" about illegal aliens too - it ties into his history as a contractor.....

Sean is playing both the card off the top and the card from the bottom plus one more up his sleeve - going for the lib/centrist TV viewers on H&C

So it's "southern" to get the cops looking for a Hispanic guy in Albequerque with nightsticks in tow? "Southern manners" to get an entire town giving up their week looking for you while you throw them off the scent with snipped hair?

You live in a different South than I.

Geeze the hair, how could we end this without it. Maybe tomorrow. It is another day.

You have it, she is at a crossroads and the blankie over the head was understandable and probably indicates that she is not the cold person people think she is.

Tawana Brawley wrapped herself up in a blanket, too, when she was found after being "abducted." Do you think she's a good person as well?

They won't.

Sooner or later the cops and prosecutor will rethink this case and let it die on the vine.

And my daddy never heard a swear word pass my lips either.

I am 50 years old and my daddy (yes I still call him daddy) has never laid a hand on me nor have I ever heard a cuss word from his lips.

The only person I've read that it was sourced to was Rita [sharp inhaling of breath] "My Sources" Cosby. She is on a par with the cheesy Geraldo, so who knows who told the story to her?

Unfounded gossip.

I have enjoyed reading the genteel views in your post thoughout this story. I don't know you, but I am convinced you are a lady (in the finer sense of the word). I also believe the public dissection of Mr. Mason and Miss Wilbanks has been overly harsh.

I have been married to my lady for 23 year. I have stood firm and defended her from criticism from friend and foe from time to time over the years. Right or wrong, she's mine, I'm her's, and nobody should get in between. Anyone that doesn't understand that doesn't understand lifelong marital devotion.

I hope and actually trust that John and Jennifer will work it out and be happy. Why wouldn't a person hope that for them?

You're talking about one of his FRIENDS, you know?

Are we supposed to censor our comments here because of that? And perhaps the person in question ought to tell his friend that referring to what his fiance did as his "mini-September 11" is pretty darn offensive.

I predict this couple will have a gas telling their grandkids this story on their fiftieth anniversary.

OR,

After the first six months they'll be back in the news after she hires a hit-man to do poor dim John in.
