A Gut Punch to the Middle{Kooky Krugman ALERT)

By now, every journalist should know that you have to carefully check out any scheme coming from the White House. You can't just accept the administration's version of what it's doing. Remember, these are the people who named a big giveaway to logging interests "Healthy Forests."
Sure enough, a close look at President Bush's proposal for "progressive price indexing" of Social Security puts the lie to claims that it's a plan to increase benefits for the poor and cut them for the wealthy. In fact, it's a plan to slash middle-class benefits; the wealthy would barely feel a thing.

Paul Krugman long ago ceased to be anything resembling an economist.

How does this clown have any credibility whatsoever? He may just be the biggest demagogue out there when it comes to economic policy.
You know you're full of crap when your article gets debunked at 8:50 AM, a mere 2 hours after most people pick up their stupid newspaper. Check this out:

...these are the people who named a big giveaway to logging interests "Healthy Forests." I'm not up on this policy but it is healthy to prune a forest. Is a healthy to let a lawn get overgrown and go to seed or should it be cut regularly?
Or (back to the forest) should we let wildfires rage for months instead?

Useful idiots like Krugman exemplify all that is most wrong with the political left and the "main stream" media. Just barely useful as birdcage liner.
As long as creatures like him continue to populate what is considered "news" papers nowadays, the MSM's readership and illusion of "integrity" will only continue to decline.

Krugman is good only in the guise of a backwards economist. Just as his predictions of stagflation and diminished expectations for the mid to late 1990's were precisely backwards, so too are all of his political and economic theories.

I guess all those fires in California last year were a figment of our imagination.
But then, the left would rather see the entire state go up in flames than allow a single tree to be used for homes, furniture, or any other purpose.

Krugman never lets facts get in his way...Jerk.
To: Southack
It seems that Krugman is so obsessed by the notion of living in a world of depression, disappointment and diminished expectations that he should commence immediately to disassociate himself from the New York Times and the mainstream media, and the world will be an immensely more cheerful, sensible and hopeful place. That seems to be the common personality disorder of readers and writers of the New York Times and mainstream media. They need to find more healthful outlets for their neurotic obsessions.

Isn't Paul Krugman the one who's been claiming a total economic meltdown for America since 12:01AM, January 20th, 2000?
How's that prediction working out for ya, Pauly?
