KFI AM640, Los Angeles, Bill Handel Show | May 2, 2005

Posted on 05/02/2005 8:46:23 AM PDT by John Jorsett

Just announced on KFI's Bill Handle Show: KFI is putting up billboards countering the "Los Angeles, Mexico" billboards that appeared recently in Los Angeles. KFI's billboards will say, "Just to clarify, you are here" then have an arrow pointing to a map of California. At the bottom will be "Los Angeles, CA, USA Gracias, KFI AM640"

many people on this forum fail to differentiate between illegals and americans of mexican descent.

Indeed. It's funny, I get called a racist traitor by Mexicans for not being a socialist La Raza type and for loving the USA, and then get called a Mexican Atzlanista by Americans who paint with the broad brush.

KFI is the best talk radio station in L.A. anyway. I have it on almost all the time... They carry Rush, John and Ken, Captain Dale Dye, Drudge: what more could you want? Gracias KFI!! Viva KFI!!

does anyone know if they have the same owners as KNEW in SanFran?

They've got the same "more stimulating talk radio" tagline

Hispanics in California voted to end bilingual education, and a big chunk voted for Prop. 187. The illegal immigrant problem impacts all American citizens, not just gringos.

I appreciate the honest answer, I'd I don't know enough about CA politics to have any reason to doubt your assertion that you'd,"...have the white folks who compromise 65-70% of the voting electorate, last I read."

My previous post is based on the assumption (which I consider to be a reasonable one) that that percentage is going to plummet sharply in the next 10-20 years. If there's some reason this is not a good assumption, great! I'm always for good news. If you (or anybody else) could explain I'd greatly appreciate it....

My last reading says that european whites are less that 50%. I still lump hispanic as white, but from south of here. And of course asians have been on the increase. So, I think Hispanic, Black, and Asian now comprise over 50%. I welcome anyone who has a recent correction.

It became acceptable when L.A. became mostly Latino and, of course, most of that population is either illegal, brought illegal relatives into the U.S. or sends money back to relatives in Mexico.

KFI's the top talk station in the nation in terms of ratings. I doubt this will hurt them! Nice work, Bill Handle & KFI.

Good for them! I hope their ratings shoot through the roof.

Since when did it become in any way acceptable for people to imply some type of secession for US territory? >>

Those who do not know History and have not read of its lessons are bound to experience them for themselves!

I don't care if they give LA to Mexico. CA is a nightmare anyway.

That's what folks would say when they thought that illegal immigration and the scourge it brings was "just a California problem".

It's a national problem now, it has spread everywhere.

No, my friend, if Mexico takes California (to which they are about on the brink), we in the neighboring states are next. But, not without a fight.

And we're not liking it one bit.

KFI 640 belongs to Clear Channel Communications, which owns many radio stations and also owns the "Los Angeles, Mexico" billboard.

What is to be expected when, according to many reports, that emergency room care is provided, food stamps, housing, education...I saw a report that Mexican Nationals drop kids off at the border to be bussed to school each day, and then they return to Mexico. I don't live in California, but from what I hear about the budget deficits...and the liberal policies, it is costing a fortune and is backed by Sacremento. (My comment was just to be mean)

I wish we could get one of these for every city in America. We could send bumper stickers in to our rep.s and senators, esp those in NY. Maybe they'd start to get a message.
