Ya' know, the comments to me from last night and tonight (and no Ohio I'm not talking about you), coupled with the basic nastiness of this forum (FreeRepublic) toward the President has pushed me toward a decision I've been contemplating for awhile.

Deb, I beg you to reconsider. You have been so very generous with even those of us who mostly lurk. I always take your commentary very seriously, and I respect your judgment so very much. I can't imagine FR without you.

You are our voice of reason and our poll person.
Just because we don't agree about the performance last nite, doesn't mean we don't love and respect you.
Some of the people here can be unnecessarily nasty when they disagree. I hate that. I hope I don't do it, but I may from time to time.
I've had some of the feelings you've had lately, but things seem to be settling down. For a long time, this was the only place I felt safe. I don't think anyone here would say anything ugly to you, I hope not.
You are one of the finest people on this forum, and one of the best things that's happened to the Dose in the past few years.

This forum has too many creeps on it, and when something controversial happens they come out of the woodwork, but FR is also one of the best places on earth, because it brings real life people like YOU and ME together as real life friends.

DrDeb, I always look for your posts; without disagreement amongst us, there can be no learning or growth. Often, what I disagree with today, later I have a different perspective as the result of someone's comment. Whatever you decide, I'm grateful for your voice....it is strong and honest.

I'm just catching up, saw your post. I hope you will reconsider. I believe that our side is still able to constructively disagree with one another and maintain relationships that work toward our common goal. In this case, the support of our President and constitution, our troops, and defense of America in every sense.
Please don't let the troublemakers that come onto FR (frustrating as they can be) drive you off. If you do allow that, they've won after all.
