As I said, the immigration problem has been around for many years, now you want Bush to stop it instanteneously.

Please point me to all your posts demanding border security and accusing Clinton of being lax about it, during his 8 years of presidency -- or did you discover this as a great issue, after it was spoonfed to you by the liberals as a means to attack President Bush?

As I said before, the issue of illegal immigration is bigger than Tancredo, you don't need him, but Tancredo is nothing without this issue he is riding.

Tancredo is attacking President Bush, he is attacking Tom DeLay -- is that the kind of poster boy you want for your cause?

You want a poster boy, a real one, how about Arnold Schwarzenegger?

He spoke out against illegal immigration, praised the Minuteman, talks about the Federal government needing to enforce border security, but he doesn't feel he needs to turn it into a personal attack against President Bush.

What you all are demonstrating, that you don't care about illegal immigration, you are just a bunch of Tancredo groupies and what you really enjoy is exactly his attack against President Bush.

I am sure you'll be so much happier with President Hillary.

Have you not been keeping up with news in the past few years? In this Post-911 Era our President has done his best to insure the security of our back doors (the borders) remain insufficiant in manpower and funding.

He has consistantly caved to Mexico's demands down the line with the one exception of telling Mexico's president to hold off until OUR outrage subsided after the towers fell. Now, three years after and a safe reelection away, our president is spouting the message his father was - that we should get used to the idea of an American Union...part of a New World Order.

It's why the provenly failed NAFTA treaty is being pushed upon every country in our proximity via the CAFTA, FTAA and Law of the Sea treaties.

Each one of those "treaties" are written in a way that insures America is weakened. Unfortunately for the treaty writers, they don't seem to be aware that their previous efforts have already gotten us to the bottom of the barrel. There's nothing left to give away but Americans' future labor in indentured servitude (or worse).

The deficit has mostly been bought up by Communist China, who now has every legal right to demand payment at their convenience.

Both parties are responsible for this sour pickle we're in while the media hides how screwed up our position is.

If I have you confused with someone it would be a surprise, as I've always taken the position that any leader working against our interests is an enemy of our nation. Those we elect are beholden to their oath and the public's trust.

Mr. Tancredo understands that and mentions it often.

"Hmmm..."Tancredo." Is that an American name? "

Good point.

Interestingly enough, Tancredo isn't just opposed to illegal immigration, he seems to be opposed to ANY immigration.

The same old "I am here, close the door" hypocritical attitude that many have.

"Bush deserves bashing on this issue; he should be impeached, tarred, feathered, and sent to prison for the damage he has created."

Did you get this from Hillary's or Kerry's playbook?

Wrong again, "Fair Opinion"

Tancredo is defending DeLay, not attacking him:

From Tancredo's own website:

http://tancredo.house.gov/pressers/04.15.05%20Tancredo%20Statement%20on%20DeLay.htm

Tancredo Statement on Majority Leader DeLay

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Tom Tancredo (CO-06) today said of embattled Majority Leader Tom DeLay (R-TX):

“I believe that all of the charges against Tom DeLay I have seen to date lack merit. I believe they are being leveled in the hopes of bringing him down, and with him the Republican Majority,” said Tancredo. “However, if the Majority Leader were to temporarily step aside so that these trumped up charges can be dealt with in a less hostile environment, as they have proven to be an unnecessary distraction, it may be a productive move.”

Is he stupid or a Democrat stooge? According to him, all the Dems have to do is come up with totally spurious accusations against any Republican leader, and the Republican should just "temporarily" step down, leaving the Republicans leaderless. And "temporarily" as in how long, until the Dems will quit coming up with unfounded accusations, as in, until he is dead?

From your own link: "I believe that all of the charges against Tom DeLay I have seen to date lack merit. I believe they are being leveled in the hopes of bringing him down, and with him the Republican majority," he began.

Only then did Tancredo suggest that it "may be a productive move" for DeLay to take a "temporary" leave of absence, saying:

"However, if the majority leader were to temporarily step aside so that these trumped-up charges can be dealt with in a less hostile environment, as they have proven to be an unnecessary distraction, it may be a productive move."

Question: Why did he suggest that DeLay should "temporarily step aside"?

SCHWARZENEGGER:

"What we want to do is, we want to secure the borders so that we don't have this unbelievable increase of illegal immigrants coming into the border.

But what I am complaining about is that our government here in America is not doing their job which is to secure the borders.

That is their job, to secure the borders so that that does not happen in the first place."

Tancredo hasn't personally attacked Bush. He's criticized Bush's open border policies.

He thinks Delay is innocent, but recognizes the potential political liability he may become.

What good is a "poster boy" who refuses to express opposition to policies he disagrees with?

See my post 31 and this one:

Gov. Schwarzenegger Defends Minuteman Project

http://www.kfmb.com/stories/story.11195.html
Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger is putting his support behind the Minuteman Project.

Fresh off patrolling the Arizona border, Minuteman volunteers are planning to do the same in San Diego this summer.

Governor Schwarzenegger says the Minutemen wouldn't be necessary, if there was proper security at our borders.

"What I'm encouraging is to simply ask the federal government to do their job. Their job is to secure the borders, and they've not done their job."

He spoke out against illegal immigration, praised the Minuteman, talks about the Federal government needing to enforce border security, but he doesn't feel he needs to turn it into a personal attack against President Bush.

Arnold doesn't dare speak out against a sitting GOP prez. He wants the Constitution changed, so he can be a RINO president someday, too.

What you all are demonstrating, that you don't care about illegal immigration, you are just a bunch of Tancredo groupies...

Tom Tancredo has groupies??? Who knew???

Hey, you can accuse me of being an Ann Coulter groupie, but please don't imply I'm a Tom Tancredo groupie. LOL!

I am sure you'll be so much happier with President Hillary.

Criticizing Bush for his pathetic immigration policies does not help Hillary become president. George W. Bush won't be on the ballot in 2008. Because he's so clueless on illegal immigration, whoever runs in the general election for the GOP will be distancing him or herself from Bush on this issue - not because of Tancredo, but because of the American people who are upset with the flow of illegal aliens into this country.

If Hillary becomes president in 2008, it will be because of Bush "groupies" like yourself who refuse to hold Bush's feet to the fire even when he's dead wrong on a life-or-death issue. If the Republican Party doesn't do something about this problem when they control the White House, House and Senate, I doubt Americans will trust the GOP in 2008.

I think I get it. I's OK to criticize Bush, who is the chief executive of the federal government that's not doing it's job, so long as you don't mention him by name. Is that it?

You're a fool.

Tancredo is accusing President Bush of treason, of putting the interests of Mexico over the interests of the US.

Anyone with moderate comprehension can see that.

Please re-read this:

"All of which means that Bush must have some other reason for continuing to push his ill-conceived proposal for amnesty for illegal aliens and for turning a blind eye to the dangers of open borders. He appears to be pandering not to Latino voters but to the government of Mexico. Is he so influenced by the corporate advocates for cheap labor that he cannot see the loss of millions of jobs by Latino and black Americans to the unfair competition of illegal labor?"

As I said, the issue is NOT illegal immigration -- virtually everyone is AGAINST that. The issue is that unscupulous politicians, LIKE TANCREDO, using that to attack President Bush.

People with any sense should see through Tancredo.

Let me repeat, you don't need Tancredo for "the cause" but Tancredo is nothing, without having this issue to ride on for his 15 minutes of fame.

Yikes, I hope he meant to add whites to that list.

Like heck it doesn't. It will make the so-called one issue conservatives stay home, and Hillary will laugh all the way to the White House.

Conservatives who voted for Ross Perot "on principle" were the ones who gave us Clinton and they haven't learn their lesson, now they want to smooth the way for Hillary. Maybe you need to change your screen name to "Hillary for Madam President".

That's vanilla stupid! Are you an idiot, or are you just working on it?

I am not a twit idol worshiper. Anyone who fails to secure our borders is not doing this country any favors. There is nothing conservative about the President's behavior on this issue. A Republican party that fails to stand by conservative values has no business proclaiming itself "conservative". The Republicans in DC should be up in arms over this issue. Their inaction is to their discredit.
