I predict that the immigration reform movement is about to score a monumental victory in Congress with the impending passage of "Real ID," a measure that will, among other things, set federal standards for driver's license documents and prohibit states from giving driver's licenses to anyone in this country illegally.
All of which means that Bush must have some other reason for continuing to push his ill-conceived proposal for amnesty for illegal aliens and for turning a blind eye to the dangers of open borders. He appears to be pandering not to Latino voters but to the government of Mexico. Is he so influenced by the corporate advocates for cheap labor that he cannot see the loss of millions of jobs by Latino and black Americans to the unfair competition of illegal labor?
There is now a broad consensus in Congress that border security must be given a high priority. We cannot think seriously about legalizing millions of new "temporary workers" until we are able to control our borders and know who is entering our country and who is leaving.

Tancredo never denied the allegations.

Tancredo showed that he is gunning as buchanan's heir with his backstabbing of Delay.

Urban legend, in contrast to tancredo's published backstabbing words towards Tom Delay.

Uh that comes from a tancredo friendly source, George Putnam, who is not averse to the use of hyperbole, whereas tancredo's backstabbing of Delay was widely reported by the liberal mainstream media.

And that story about Rove comes from tancredo's mouth. The self-aggrandizing Colorado congressman who backstabbed Tom Delay.

His grandstanding and backstabbing of Tom Delay, tells me more than enough about his political character.

My personal opinion, I ain't going to believe the person who put on the record his(tancredo's) backstabbing of Tom Delay.

And the source of the "never darken the halls of the White House again" quote is tom tancredo, the man who publicly stabbed Tom Delay in the back.

As is obvious with tom tancredo's backstabbing towards Tom Delay.

Uh get back to me when Lamar Smith and Virgil Goode wag their tongues at liberal media outlets to backstab Tom Delay, like your hero tom tancredo did.

Uh, I didn't hold a gun up to tancredo to backstab Tom Delay.

Yep, your merry-go-round of defending the indefensible, tom tancredo's backstabbing of Tom Delay.

Uh, I have always been a critic of tancredo due to grandstanding ways, and it seems his public backstabbing of Tom Delay is the icing on the cake to many on FR, of what I have been saying for a couple of years.

To put out the message that too much tancredo spam is not good for a Conservative, especially when that spam leads tancredo to backstab one of the best Conservatives in Congress, Tom Delay.

Yeah a guy like tancredo, who eagerly goes to the liberal press to proclaim his backstabbing of Tom Delay does scare me.

Hey Dane, I heard a rumor that Tancredo backstabbed Tom DeLay. Would you happen to know anything about this?
You said:
"Step down, hell, he wanted DeLay to resign and go back to Texas."
Quote from your link:
although he does not favor ousting DeLay, "If he chose to resign as majority leader until these matters are resolved, that's probably not the worst idea."
I didn't get that he wanted Delay to resign and go back to Texas from that.
Alot of people thought Tom Daschle would end up back on a farm in South Dakota. I told them he'd be a lobbyist in Washington. I was right. I'm right 98.4% of the time, and there's not one thing you can do about it.
Dance dear knave dance!
How can a person deny allegations about an incident that the person knows nothing about? Tancredo was out of town when his house was being remodeled. Whether illegal aliens did or did not work on Tancredo's house is anybody's guess. But there is still no proof that illegal aliens worked on Tancredo's house. The Denver Post's only "proof" was the word of two anonymous lawbreakers. That type of "proof" would carry absolutely no weight in a court of law because a person would have the right to face their accusers.
Tancredo never denied the allegations.
;)
It sure aint your land
So you better get off
Before I blow your head off
I've Got a shotgun
And you don't got one
This land was made for me not you!
Thanks JJ, for repeating the point that tancredo backstabbed Tom Delay. It can't be repeated enough, IMO.
"Alot of people thought Tom Daschle would end up back on a farm in South Dakota. I told them he'd be a lobbyist in Washington. I was right. I'm right 98.4% of the time, and there's not one thing you can do about it."
Well you obviously can't read a simple statement and understand it. As for being right, I think you have your right confused with your left, which you are leaning toward.
Likewise for you. You want to play stupid childish games? Fine, I can too.
"Conservatives who voted for Ross Perot "on principle" were the ones who gave us Clinton"
I believe it was King George Bush I that gave us Bill Clinton with his "READ MY LIPS...NO NEW TAXES".
I, for one, am not a Paul or Tancredo "cultist". I admire both men, but have had serious issues with Paul on foreign policy. Likewise, Tancredo voted for some gun-grabbing bills a while back, so I have a hard time trusting him on the 2nd Amendment.
" It scares me that tom tancredo is so clintonesque,"
I think you're a bit confused. It's GWB that is Clintonesque. We get unchecked borders, expanded social programs, Kennedy education, massive debt all in the name of conservativism and people like you bought it.
You can check my posting history, I've been complaining about illegal immigration since before Bush was in office. I've been watching the issue closely and complaining about it for 10 years and it's as bad as ever under Bush. Here in San Diego, people have been protesting lax enforcement of immigration laws since the late '80s. Roger Hedgecock promoted demonstrations where people turned their car headlights on the border to illuminate an open field in southern San Diego Co. where the illegals used to cross. A lot of people in southern CA have been shouting about this for years and your insinuation they are taking cues on immigration from left-wing groups is offensive. Presidents Clinton and both Bushes have failed us, but that doesn't mean we've been taking it silently.
"TANCREDO: This Land Is Whose Land?"
It was MY people's land, before your ancestors violated a bunch of treaties via illegal immigration.
What goeth around, cometh around...
Tancredo is a WINNER, with a winning issue which he is absolutely on the right side of... the LOSER here (besides the American People) is Bush. Bush is so far on the wrong side of this issue that he's like a speck of dust as seen from five miles away. Bush NEEDS to be bashed until he gets the idea that things need a-changing. It's like the old farmer and his mule... sometimes you gotta hit him upside the head with that 2x4 until you have his attention. We do not yet have Bush's attention. Tom Tancredo is trying to get his attention.
Why is it that you still can't see honest questioning as anything but bashing Bush? He won the election... so why is it that no one is YET allowed (in YOUR opinion) to hold him accountable for his actions? If all you do is keep on sucking up to him, he will never change or do the right thing, which, in this case, is SECURE OUR BORDERS.
He doesn't need to add whites to it, really. I am white and I see what's happening. However, there are a lot of Blacks and legal Latinos who don't or don't WANT to see that. It is THOSE people he is addressing. The ones who are the usual RAT party base. And it's working at least to a degree, as the MMP had numerous legal Latinos involved...
If you are so interested in seeing the criminal border jumpers' "rights" protected (which rights, by the way do NOT include being able to safely cross our borders wherever they want to), post a big sign (flaming letters, even) which says in six languages: "DANGER. If you attempt to cross this international border anywhere but at a LEGAL crossing point, you are subject to being blown into little bitty pieces suitable for use only as food for the vultures and the California Condors. Proceed at your own risk."
Both the administrations of President Clinton and the current President Bush have miserably failed to protect this nation's borders.
