MEXICO CITY Mexico condemned the comments today of California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, who praised civilian volunteers guarding the Arizona-Mexican border in search of people crossing illegally.
The Foreign Relations Department said quote: "these types of unfortunate pronouncements are not the way to achieve a better understanding between our country and California."
In a radio interview yesterday, Schwarzenegger said of the volunteers, quote: "I think they've done a terrific job, and look, they've cut down the crossing of illegal immigrants by a huge percentage."
Minuteman volunteers, some of whom are armed, began patrolling April first for migrants crossing into Arizona over what is considered the most-porous stretch of the two-thousand-mile U-S-Mexico border.
He knew this would just make the Mexican government angry!!
Could the good spokesperson please explain what the hell a better understanding might be?
Mexico irked? That's too damned bad!
The Minutemen are costing Mexico an enormous amount of money - of course they would be furious about it...just as the French were furious about America going after Sadam Hussein - that was taking money out of their pockets.
And US citizens are pi$$ed...
Now...will Dubya please do something?
Good grief, can we just have another Mexican/American war and get this thing over with. You would not believe the NPR report during drive time today (well, you probably would) on the Minute Man Project. They were trying so hard to be neutral (there is supposed to be a new tone at NPR), but they just didn't like them.

-->NPR: they got Thumbs up their asses, Thumbs up their asses.... :)
yaaaaawn I can't tell you how upset that makes me.
LOL. Well, I was perhaps too subtle in my description of what I thought of the NPR report.
The Minuteman Project: "Anchor Babies Against Illegal Immigration."
My crazy imagination has me seeing Bush, humbly giving them a couple more million dollars as a peace offering.
Free Americans, exercising their rights under the constitution, should not irk Mexico. This country belongs to the people of America, who have fought very hard to forge this great nation from a vast, untamed wilderness.
Instead of insulting our citizen patriots, why doesn't Mexico simply applaud them for treating their law-breaking citizens with both dignity and respect?
That would be the logical thing to do in my opinion.
Yep, I was thinking about doing a "tour of duty" out there, but I don't have all that much vacation time. But if it pisses the Mexican government off to have U.S. citizens standing watch on their own sovereign, national territory, then wow!!.. I want to be a part of that!
It pisses me off SO much to hear Mexican government advertising in the Southern California area, telling their Mexican nationals how much they're doing for them with their benevolent socialist government, as if they were the sovereigns here. How do you expect Mexico would respond if our HHSA (or other agencies) started running commercials in Mexico telling how much the U.S.A. was doing to protect Mexican citizens through our DOD efforts world wide, or our AID programs in Mexico, or via NAFTA. Hey, and terrorist nuke in San Diego would ruin a bunch the day of a whole lot of Mexican's across the border. The Mexican gov't would have a Latin American style, macho hissy fit.

What??? OH...man, I'm tired.
Oh, whooooopeeeee!
The Minutemen are kicking ass, errr, taking names!
Tough Freepin Taco! Paco!
