The Arabization of Europe (Crapweasels hoist to a fare-thee-well on their own petards)

Eurabia: The Euro-Arab Axis
By Bat Ye'or
Fairleigh Dickinson University
322pp., $23.95

How is it that ten percent of France is Muslim, 15% of Denmark is Muslim and close to half of the births in the next generation will be Muslim? Imperious mosques and lawless Muslim neighborhoods dot the landscape of major European cities. And Spain willingly and meekly chose to acknowledge its Islamic past, and that pro-Arab opinion is rampant and anti-Israeli sentiment vitriolic.

European appeasement apparently did not end in Munich in 1938.

Eurabia: The Euro-Arab Axis by Bat Ye'or is a definitive work for the early 21st century. Its very title and subtitle brim with insight and controversy: that Europe is merging with Arabism and, with Arabia, constitutes a bellicose and anti-democratic force.

In her earlier books, Bat Ye'or surveyed, documented and exposed the phenomenon of Jewish and Christian dhimmi subjugation under Islam in the lands of the Middle East and beyond. This aspect of Muslim/non-Muslim relations, largely concealed by intent and ignorance, evoked interest and debate.

Now this new work, 270 pages accompanied by eight documentary appendices, extends the examination of dhimmitude into the heart of Europe itself.

Central to this book is a sweeping political conception and moral indictment. The evolving ties between Europe and Muslim North Africa/Arab Middle East, within the nexus of bureaucratic machinations in Brussels and various European capitals, have transformed Europe into an appendix of the Arab-Muslim world.

Europe, manifesting anti-Semitism, anti-Americanism and an anti-Israel bias, has succumbed to Arab policy dictates. The former European Commission and now the EU has opened its media, schools and parliaments to singularly Arab views, whereby a Euro-Mediterranean partnership provides the political umbrella for dhimmitude in Europe.

Quote:

A profound psychological change has swept Europe. With the Palestinization of Jesus, Christianity is being Islamicized. European history is being sterilized by propagating the idyllic "Andalusian myth" of ancient Islamic tolerance and Muslim-Christian symbiosis in the Middle Ages. European politics have been hijacked by the Arabs, who have successfully bound a tired and battered continent to the Islamic jihad against Israel.

If the situation didn't have such serious ramifications for us, I'd say that the EUnuchs richly deserve what is in store for them down the road.

At least Eastern Europe remains immigrant-free. I think the EU will have a hard time making eastern Europe like western Europe because the people in those countries are a lot more patriotic and not as liberalized.

Question is: When is the war (Islamo-fascism vs. Western culture) going to break out in Europe? It is coming. Question is just "when"...

Because there are so few Jews left in Europe I think you will soon see a very strong anti-moslem/arab ideology pop up all across Europe similar to the rise of fascists in Europe in the 20's and 30s. Despite all the rhetoric about a united Europe nationalism is still very strong in all of these countries. And as these countries are forced to increase taxes to deal with their exploding welfare state someone is going to be blamed and its going to be the huge muslim/arab immigrant population who refuse to assilimate and call for jihad against the west. Let's just hope we are not dragged into it.

It's the Islamic subjugation of Christians and Jews.

Where did they get 15% Muslim for Denmark? CIA Factbook has it at 2% and fco.gov.uk has it at 3%

There was an extremely strong attraction of the top nazi Germans to islam and the arab culture in the 1930's and 1940's. The mufti of Jerusalem was a frequent honored guest of both Hitler and Himmler. This new attitude among the euros is merely a new manifestation of the old nazi infatuations. Surprise! Surprise! Surprise!

As I have noted several times on FR data on Muslim populations in Europe appear to be almost totally unreliable.

"It's the Islamic subjugation of Christians and Jews."

The Christians and Jews failed to reproduce and that can't be blamed on Islam.

Christians should have listened to the Pope instead of aborting, gaying and contracepting themselves.

Including France. The real French are shocked at what they see now. Paris is probably 30% North African, Arab, and central African. Virtually all Muslims.

It's bizarre walking the streets there now, or being in the restaurants and hotels. Algerians and women in chadors all over the place.

The only thing stopping a social cataclysm now are the European socialist governments, who are intimidating the Europeans into taking this. Anyone's guess as to how long that will last.

Maybe so. But there were probably 3 Muslims in all of Europe back them. Not tens of millions threatening to turn Europe into a Wahabbi super state run by Osama Bin Ladens heirs. There is a strong under current of resentment of these 'immigrant invaders' who take tax payer dollars but refuse to assimilate. At some point the pot is going to boil over and its not going to be pretty.

Not every non muslim westerner is a Christian.

Christians aren't homosexuals, or abortionists.

Uh, from those numbers, it's clear that no one in the CIA factbook writing section has been anywhere near London or Rotterdam lately.

The author of this book, Bat Ye'or, coined the term 'dhimmitude'. The term dhimmi refers to those non-Muslims living in Muslim land, Christians and Jews for example, but could also be Hindus or Buddhists. These people are by definition second-class citizens and must meet other obligations that the general Muslim population would not have to, say, special taxes, or special fees for doing business. Those living thusly would then be in dhimmitude, something the nominally Christian population may have to do if Eurabia comes to be.

There was another excellent review of this book in the latest Weekly Standard, and another in the National Review.

Ok - Christians and Jews failing to reproduce can't be blamed on Islam. That's why Islam is all over the NE and migrating into a population scarce Europe.

I'm not sure I get your point...

Just because someone was baptized as an infant, doesn't mean they are Christian...although a Government Census would identify them as thus.

???? OK - who said they were. The point I made was Europeans are not having enough babies, baptized or not, and that can't be blamed on Islam, can it?
