Students Claims He Was Attacked 3 Times In 2 Weeks
CLEVELAND -- Police charged three teenage boys with raping a fellow special-education student who said he was attacked three times in the past two weeks.
A 17-year-old student at East Tech High School initially didn't complain to authorities about the alleged attacks. A school custodian walked in on the most recent alleged attack on April 22, he told police.
The custodian promptly told school authorities who called police right away, police said Friday.
When investigators asked the student what happened on the school's track April 22, he told them he also was attacked twice before, according to a police report.
The 17-year-old told police that he was raped by two 14-year-olds and a 15-year-old. The older boy said one of the boys raped him April 18 in a second-floor bathroom, the report states. He said that boy and another boy took turns raping him April 19 in the school's locker room.
Two boys told him in class April 22 to go to the track where they were going to beat him up, according to the report. There, the one boy raped him while another one hit him, the 17-year-old told police.
Two of the 15-year-olds were charged Tuesday in Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court with delinquency by reason of rape and assault, said Carmen Naso, a juvenile prosecutor. Authorities charged the third with delinquency by reason of assault and multiple rape counts, Naso said.
If found delinquent on the rape charges, the boys could be jailed until they're 21, Naso said.
Officials at East Tech and the school district declined to comment Thursday.
"We are still in the process of reviewing what happened," district spokesman Alan Seifullah said.
Messages seeking comment were left Friday for prosecutors and school officials.
Last month, a 16-year-old developmentally disabled girl at Mifflin High School in Columbus told administrators that a group of boys forced her to perform oral sex on them while other students watched. The school system is firing the principal and suspended three assistant principals for not calling police after the girl reported being assaulted.
Legislators this week introduced a bill that would increase the penalty for school employees who don't report such attacks immediately.
Has the whole world gone insane!!??
This is so disgusting. Makes me SICK!
and they still haven't charged the boys involved in the Mifflin High School rape with anything.
I guess it's ok for boys to rape girls, but boys are not allowed to rape boys.
Is it too late for us to repeal the ban on exceuting minors?
"OK, there is now officially no difference between the public school system and the penal system."
Sure there is.
In the penal system, homosexuality is discouraged and looked down upon by officialdom.
Goes to show when the foundation like the 10 commandments and respect for a higher authority like God is taken away by the likes of the ACLU and the Michael Newdows a void is created. What fills the void? The belief that humanity is good? What a joke! Situations like this violently disprove that belief.
Insanity is definitely on the rise.
Is it too late for us to repeal the ban on exceuting minors?I'd rather execute the school administrators that didn't report these crimes.
If you tested the doctrine of the fallen nature of man and original sin as a scientific hypothesis, it would have more evidence supporting it than any other hypothesis ever proposed in the history of mankind.
These boys were just getting started and learning what they will need for their professions after they get out of high school. Isn't that what the school systems are for. May be now they will be able to see what they did to this poor boy.
Shoot the bastards now before they procreate more animals.
Prison culture.
Hate Crimes: Not Just For Adults
What the article doesn't mention is, umm, the fact that the school (East Tech High School) is an "inner city" school filled with, umm, "minorities."
So we have the old toxin that afflicts inner city kids (no fathers, welfare mothers, inner city gang, rap, and drug culture), combined with the hedonism of post-modernism, filth on TV and the movies, and the educational endorsement of homosexuality.
I hate it when people wring their hands about these events. There is an easy answer -- get back to traditional values, school vouchers, and vote Republican!
Sow the wind, reap the whirlwind.
As the mother of a speclal ed student (they are called "speds" at her high school), my reactions include not only revulsion but anger at a society that makes fun of special ed kids. Retards, slow, dumb and stupid. I'm sick of this society's mentality when it comes to those less fortunate that us.
The last place children with special needs should be is stuck in public edoocashun. Schools get plenty of budget money for having "needs" students, and will send riff raff in to classes to increase their funding. It's truly disgusting.
Uh...right...
Agreed, one thousand percent!
