You will, then, be very interested to know that Mr. Gatto has thought the message of the book to be of great enough significance that he has it posted, in its entirety, on his website.

This parent deserves plenty of credit. He's fighting a battle that can benefit many more kids than his own.
Thank you David Parker.
Yes. Many give up, run and hide with homeschooling, but this allow the public sewage to get worse and worse.
Please don't flame me. I am a homeschooler but also have a student now enrolled in a public high school and push these concerns weekly.

Thanks for the ping. This is an outrage. Sick, twisted, and criminal conduct by the school and the dad gets arrested. Unbelievable. I am afraid our great nation has reached it's Zenith.
They wonder why people move from the NE. Not only do I have to pay 9k a year in property taxes, but I have no choice but to send my kid to private school.

Also, the NEA sponsored the pro-abortion march in D.C.
Let's call our reps, talk shows, write letters to the editor and DEMAND CHOICE for schools - school vouchers!

My struggle is that the politics involved in the public school systems is too entrenched. My sentiment is that this is a war won by the left, i.e. there is no use in fighting. Or that my efforts and rhetoric would be better used elsewhere.
My opinions are also formed by witnessing successful student in the Wash DC area. They are only successful since they abandoned the public schools. (?)

I do believe in certain parts of this once great country, you are right. I still hope that not all school districts are lost, maybe most, but maybe a few can be saved.

If the headline had been "A Lexington parent, David Parker,...", then the commas would be appropriate, right? (Just trying to impress you with my command of the English language)

Whenever you hear the worry that "home-schooled children may not get proper socialization," think twice. And when have we ever known the left to tell the truth about anything?

The whole association of teachers and kids is not getting rave reviews lately anway, what with the liberals doing the hiring and the agenda is very strange. There are so many stories of teachers getting 'involved' with kids beyond the schoolroom sexually. I don't blame this father at all.
The association of the left and the ACLU is well known, less well know is an association of the ACLU and NAMBLA made known to me on another column of this forum.
