Rasta Republican (Jill Stewart On Ted Hayes As The Black Republican Liberals Love To Hate Alert)
Wall Street Journal ^ | 04/28/05 | Jill Stewart

A totemic figure in L.A., Mr. Hayes has long emphasized problem-solving and individual responsibility. If you want to stop kids from shooting people , Mr. Hayes has told appalled black preachers and activists, stop blaming cops and "white folks" for urban tragedy and start blaming the lackadaisical inner-city family culture you support.

Mr. Hayes spent last fall tooling around the fortified neighborhoods of South Los Angeles, knocking on security screens and urging stunned residents to vote Bush. He explained that the Democratic Party was the Klan's party in the 20th century, and the party of the slave trade before that. A lot of people he met didn't know their pre-1960s history. He's ever unflappable. In early December, he appeared on Fox News to vociferously defend the right of Condi Rice to be Republican. His segment was introduced by a bemused Brit Hume, who hardly knew what to make of the Rasta Republican.

A Rasta Republican? Yep, meet Ted Hayes. He's the Black Republican liberals love to hate. We need more black conservatives like him and not just in Los Angeles politics. Don't let the dreadlocks put y'all off; you'll like this guy.

Ted's great. I am sure Boxer or Pelosi understand the black community much better than Ted (sarcasm).

TED HAYES
JANUARY 29, 2005

History Will Record Our Role in the Defense of Dr. Condoleezza Rice

Ted Hayes, (1/29/05)

As expected, Dr. Condoleezza Rice, President Bush’s choice for Secretary of State of the United States of America, was confirmed as such the great day of Tuesday, January 26th (27th) Two Thousand and Five.

The poignancy and significance of what has and is taking place around the subjects of this grand occurrence in this very pivotal time in history are many.

Surely you have identified several notable points of interest connected to Dr. Rice being the first American Black Female to advance and ascend to such political power.

Note: As her immediate predecessor former Secretary of State, a Black male, Dr. Rice is only three heartbeats away from the Presidency.

For me, the primary significance of Dr. Condoleezza Rice is the fact that President Bush is introducing her to the world as the “Face of America.”

If I had the money and help from a few people, I would host a celebratory party with fireworks for what has taken place in this country. It makes me want to shout out loud!

Another point of interest is the players in the matter.

First there is Dr. Rice and President George W. Bush, in that, he appointed her to such a high post in American government and the entrance of the ABE and its’ allies.

In the founding spirit of the Republican Party and foreshadowed by President Abraham Lincoln, George W. Bush, more than any US President, has appointed many other American Blacks or non-White individuals and women to positions of real political power.

He is to be saluted for his unprecedented work!

History will record that just prior to Dr. Condoleezza Rice’s appointment when her character was being besmirched by White racist with the blessings of the African American leadership, it was the ABE (American Black Elephant) and its’ allies who leaped into the Freedom Van Guard role that they abdicated.

In its mere infancy, ABE is being established as a leading voice for freedom for all Americans, and peoples around the world struggling to be breathe free.

Though Dr. Rice is now Secretary of State, ABE contends that the ideological war is not over, but rather just beginning. These events surrounding Dr. Rice were only a battle.

ABE is advocating that all American citizens join with us to aggressively fight to abolish political mental enslavement as practiced by the Democrat party over American Blacks, and rally for Free Political Affiliation.

Dr. Rice is clearly a catalyst in this cause. Possibly our “Rosa Parks”! We Salute and offer her our encouragement and assistance as she function as Secretary of State.

From the members of ABE, we thank you for your involvement.

You can learn more about Ted's visionary Dome Village here, from www.domevillage.org:
The Dome Village, a project of Justiceville/Homeless USA, is a non-profit organization which offers a structural alternative for homeless people unable or even unwilling to live in traditional shelters or return to the "mainstream" life style.

The domes themselves and the actual
village arrangement is utilized as a stabilizing tool to provide basic, affordable, transitional housing which is non-threatening to the chronic homeless person nor to the local neighborhood.

Dome Village has created a positive and innovative approach to housing homeless people and achieves  the goals of alleviating homelessness as it reduces urban blight and decay in our city.

Located in the heart of downtown Los Angeles, the Dome Village was founded by homeless activist Ted Hayes in 1993.

It has transformed an unsightly encampment site into a community of formerly homeless people who have become productive, industrious and responsible.

The Dome Village is comprised of 20 Omni-Sphere domes which provide housing and supportive service for up to 34 individuals and family members.

It is to be especially noted here that the Omni-Sphere dome was designed by Mr. Craig Chamberlain, a Vietnam Veteran; student and personal friend of the late Buckminster Fuller.

The Dome Village is often able to assist individuals who have shunned or been unsuccessful in traditional programs for the homeless offered elsewhere.

While its true that a variety of programs for the homeless are available, most have fallen short of providing long-term impact on the problem, unable to meaningfully engage individuals in activities which can alter the course of chronic hard-core homelessness.

The Dome Village’s philosophy of self-governance, responsibility, productivity, volunteerism and respect for individuals and the community right where they are, allows avenues for homeless people to seek empowerment and make a break from the chronic cycle and psyche of homelessness.

The party that regards blacks and hispanics as inferior. In Joseph Farah's words, meet the "Racist Democrats":

It has been 18 months since I postulated my theory about why the Democrats in the U.S. Senate are filibustering President Bush's judicial nominees.

I said it then, and I say it now – many of the leading Democratic politicians in America are racist to the core.

While, superficially, the Democratic Party courts the black vote with promises of favoritism and charity, there's always been something condescending about this attitude. There's always been something patronizing about it. There's always been something insulting about it.

I've suspected there are essentially two motivations behind the Democrats' promotion of racial preferences – or what they call "affirmative action":

It's a self-empowerment plan to keep minority votes on the new Democratic Party plantation by offering them special race privileges.

It is rooted in a visceral feeling that minorities really aren't capable of achieving on their own.

In any case, both those motivations are racist. They are unacceptable without transforming America away from the principle of individual rights to a new vision of collective group privileges.

Two stories support the demonstrated racism of the Democratic Party brass.

When Senate Democrats successfully blocked three of President Bush's nominees for federal appeals-court judgeships in a 40-hour debate initiated by Republicans, Sen. Edward Kennedy, D-Mass., told reporters that he would continue to oppose any "Neanderthal that is nominated by the president for any federal court."
Now I don't happen to believe Neanderthals ever existed. But, if they did, the implication is they were something less than human – beings lower on the evolutionary scale.

Kennedy was referring to men and woman like Miguel Estrada, a Hispanic, Texas Supreme Court Justice Priscilla Owen, a woman, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Carolyn Kuhl, a woman, and California Supreme Court Justice Janice Rogers Brown, a black woman.

Kennedy had demonstrated his utter contempt for women in the past – for instance, by leaving a drowning woman and the scene of an accident. But it seems to me Kennedy was speaking in racist code language here. Could "Neanderthal" be the new "N" word he and his colleagues use to discuss minorities who are disloyal to their Democratic Party patrons and others who leave the "progressive plantation"?

Then, there were the leaked memos to members of the Senate Judiciary Committee from the special-interest lobby groups with whom the politicians work so closely.

In one communication to Sen. Richard J. Durbin of Illinois, Estrada was singled out as "especially dangerous" because "he is Latino."

It seems to me this memo and Kennedy's racist exhortations were proof positive that the Democratic Party has nothing but contempt for minorities who can think for themselves, who are ruled by their own consciences and who fail to pledge allegiance to the so-called "progressive" political agenda.

In fact, it is obvious the Democrats become ruthlessly racist against those minority nominees who cross them politically.

What the Democrats like Durbin and Kennedy have managed to do is to immunize themselves against racism charges by currying favor with those hand-picked minorities who pledge absolute loyalty to their party.

Other minorities are not even worthy of the back of the bus in the eyes of the new racist Democrats. Other minorities don't even get in the schoolhouse door if the new racist Democrats have anything to say about it. Other minorities are degraded with sub-human characterizations and racist code words. Other minorities are simply not welcome.

Here we are 18 months later.

Miguel Estrada long ago removed himself for consideration from the bench. But opposition by the Democrats remains firm to Janice Rogers Brown, the 56-year-old daughter of an Alabama sharecropper who became a member of the California Supreme Court.

Is she qualified for the job on the federal bench? If anything, she is overqualified. Janice Rogers Brown should be sitting on the U.S. Supreme Court right now.

And that's just what the Democrats fear more than anything else – a mature, black woman who loves her country and the Constitution.

The Democratic Party is still very much the original Ku Klux Klan Party. They won't tolerate any black or Hispanic in American life who can think for himself. Once on the Liberal Plantation, no slave is allowed to escape. No wonder these liberal racists hate blacks like Ted Hayes. They'd fatally undermine the party's grip on the colored vote throughout the country. That's why people of color must be reminded to stay in their place if they know what's good for them or else. Racist to the core? Indeed.
