I thought I'd give everyone an update on what I know about the death of 1SG Millsap.

He was killed by an Improvised Explosive Device (I.E.D.) suring patrol operations in the vicinity of where the civilian helicopter was shotdown the other day.

I had forgotten that he was only 3 years older than me. He was 39 and from Wichita, Kansas.

The memorial service will be Monday...1300...at Mirris Hill Chapel on Ft. Riley.

My wife will be attending as a stand in of sorts for me.

If anyone from the Proud Patriots bunch or anyone on here would like to pass along condolences Kathy has an e-mail address to send them to. I will have my wife either give them to Mrs. Millsap directly or to the Chaplain to pass on to her.

I would like to thank everyone for their kind words and thoughts for me over the last couple days and for 1SG Millsap as well.
