Yesterday it was Imus, this morning it's Katie. Ain't life grand?!
I will never forget her "exclusive" interview with Hillary in the White House after winning the Presidency. Hillary was wearing a house dress and Katie asked to see their private quarters asking "is there where you all hang out?"

Well, maybe Bryant wasn't the problem after all! I always liked him. Katie? Nope. But then again, we quit watching any and all network news once Fox News CH hit the streets. :)
She ceased being perky or cute about 15 years ago.
I tuned her out and turned her off years ago!
The title of this thread struck me as funny. "Curtains for Katie" sounded like something from the Godfather.
Maybe one day soon the NBC execs will be able to say, "Katie Couric smells like the fishes, er, make that sleeps with the fishes."

I lost all respect for the Today show when I watched it on AFRTS overseas in the 90's. They didn't play commercials between segments so you got to see those idiots talking about their day, their gripes, their contracts. It made made me sick. I was a viewer until I saw them in that light.

Well, glad you stopped watching like us. All those people are so in love with themselves and so in awe of themselves they forget who they areally are. Nobodies.

Uh...help me with this one. She on freaking television, of course she's 'expertly made up.' And exactly what is her responsibility to the "harried working moms?" Is she supposed to look into the camera with bags under her eyes and mussed hair?
And while doing interviews, her bare legs in stiletto mules are perpetually center stage, getting more attention from the camera than the guest she is supposed to be interviewing. Yesterday, AOL debated Katie's diminishing appeal all day on its entertainment site. One Katie basher — and there were many — complained, "I don't want to see someone with bare legs and open toe shoes giving me the news. Why can't she look professional?"
Really? That's what she's wearing? Well...maybe I should investigate that.
But seriously -- Oprah Winfrey is infinitely more wealthy, more self-important, more extravagant, more everything than Couric (except attractive). Why have the sharp knives come out for Katie on this front?
I can only hope that the real problem with Katie's popularity is her left-leaning bias, and not this adolescent prom queen jealousy schtuff.
