Are there any FReepers who actually listen to Air America?
I doubt it. Drudge just added this:
Secret Service officials are reviewing a skit which aired on the network Monday evening -- a skit featuring an apparent gunshot warning to the president...
Somebody have a mp3?
Now that it's coming to XM, I might try to tune in just to experience how truly bad it is. If, however, it's anything like DU--and I suspect that it is--I think that once will be more than enough!
Sadly, her ein Michigan, we lost a great one yesterday. Mark Scott. Excelsior! Mark....You will be missed.
I do.
I started listening last year, and immediately labeled it the "Bevis and Butthead" Radio network: Hours of name-calling punctuated by personal gay (as in pervert) personal adventures and Public Service announcements.
"Losers Radio" would also fit.
A little of that goes a long way. I listened for an hour each morning and night while commuting, but had to take a break after a month, to recover my sanity.
Now I listen a few days each time. Nothing has changed.
I used to listen to WLIB on Saturday for caribbean music. I turned it back just to see what they were playing now. Someone was busy playerhating Ann Coulter so I turned it. Borrrrrring.
It's on my "To-Do List" just two items down from "Mash nuts flat with a sledge hammer."
i live in a college town and came across air america as i was surfing.
so i dropped in to sample the discourse. ick.
it's like trying to eat a bowl of jello with your fingers. there's nothing of substance.
by comparison, if you're listening to rush limbaugh, he makes arguments. you can agree or disagree, but you're aware of his arguments.
air america is just that "air". no substance.
"Are there any FReepers who actually listen to Air America?"
Yes! I was searching through the channels the other day and heard two people talking such a load of left wing horse-sh*t that I couldn't believe it. I can't undetstand how normal, thinking human beings could listen to it. It was Air America and for a few moments I was fascinated like when you come upon a dead animal seething with maggots and can't help but stare for a while. Scarey.
I did once - before the election - just to hear what their sponsors were. I wrote them all letters :-).
I've got it preset on my car radio. I've listened to maybe 10 minutes total...
I hear the idiots at Dead Air America are thrilled and excited. You see, this proves that SOMEONE was listening.
If a radio show plays and no one hears it - is it still a braodcast?
Only by accident. It's one number away from America Right on XM radio, and the mistake is easy to make.
