Now that it's coming to XM, I might try to tune in just to experience how truly bad it is. If, however, it's anything like DU--and I suspect that it is--I think that once will be more than enough!
I once tuned to America Left on XM by mistake. I almost drove my car into a concrete pillar out of sheer boredom.
I listened to R.Rhodes one day and I swear....all I heard was, "OMG, like OMG. Bush is so stupid. I can't believe these people listen to this guy. He's stupid. OMG. OMG. Just OMG. We have to do something....like...go to DC and protest or something. Just OMG."
That was about it. Now, you don't have to tune in as I saved you 5 minutes of your life.
yeah,...but I still can't understand why XM's CEO thinks AirAmerica is good for the roster?!??!!
I swear, it was the worst talk radio I've ever heard, with the possible exception of those "talk shows" that are really herbal supplement sales pitches. Franken was boring, with a couple of really really feeble attempts at humor.
He interviewed George McGovern that day, and while the interview was somewhat passable as interesting, the rest of the show was like watching paint dry. I turned it off after about 20 minutes. Horrid.
I have listened to a little Air America on XM, but it is hard to listen to very much of it. There is constant whining, VERY little humor, and even less discussion of the substance of any issues. It is pretty much pure GOP and Bush bashing, 24/7, or whatever hours they operate. I enjoy and seek all viewpoints, if for no other reason than to sharpen my arguments against liberals, but there is scarcely any real viewpoint provided on Air America. It is all along the lines of "Can you believe that Bush (or insert GOP congressman or radio personality here) said.....???" or similar bilge.
I had heard it on the satellite. In less than 3 minuites I had to turn it off. It is sickening, childish, and filled with unreasoning hatred.
