Voinovich is a dweeb, plain and simple. I have had numerous occassions to either interview him or listen to his speech to a group of voters. He talks conservative and then votes less so. And he was wrong, wrong, wrong on the tax cuts he oppossed a couple of years ago. The economy had been hit with 2 body blows, the tech bubble in March 2000 and then 9/11. The tax cuts helped lift us out of that. Yes, we have big deficits. But imagaine what those would be if the economy was still sputtering. The tax cuts spurred the economy which increased revenues. The deficits are a matter of increased security spending, the war, and TOO MUCH Congressional discretionary spending.
Back to the dweeb. What has he done substantively in the Senate? Nada. He is just taking up space. Oh and speaking of spending. When Mayor of Cleveland in the 80's he was ALWAYS whining about the lack of Federal Funds coming into his city.
The BASE must continue to email, call and tell the RINO types that we, the BASE put them into office in the first place. Not the NY Times, liberal Dems, the UN or Europe! I have done so to not only the RINO's but also the Leadership , the WH and even some media outlets. It is not only Bolton, but the jurists, the issue of illegal immigration and of course, SS reform and Tax Reform. Unless the BASE continues to do so, the WH and the RINO's will compromise away the majority. That must not happen. And the President is not protected from this onslaught. He needs calls, emails to stop acting like a RINO himself.

Would you happen to know if Voinovich ever ran as a Democrat? I live in Ohio (obviously) and an acquaintance claims V was once a Dem.

I don't trust George Voinovich and it is because I am his contituent and he has taught me not to trust him.
I heard this is really about local politics. Voinivich was trying to get the adminstrations attention for local issues - - NASA and Navy finance.
He was busy beating his mule. Don't hold it against him.
I don't know much about Voinovich to be sure if he's a Republican In Name Only [RINO], but he needs a good spanking regardless of what he is. FRegards....

It is not that amazing. Lots of politicians are empty suits. As I wrote him when I saw his disgusting performance that day, what is amazing is that anyone could become a US Senator and not understand the basic rule that when in doubt YOU BELIEVE THE GUYS ON YOUR TEAM AND NOT YOUR OPPONENTS.
How in the world could he be so DUMB as to be surprised that this caused him to get so many faxes, e-mails etc. Why is he so dumb as to take the word of a known plagarists like Biden over other GOP Senators?
At some level, I respect a good ol' hard core liberal. At least they have principles. When dealing with a liberal, you know where they are coming from. Lord only knows what a moderate is thinking from second to second.A moderate is only out to please others. Some of the others some of the time, other of the others other times. They end up pleasing no one and only proving what total slime-balls they are. About everything. To everyone. In every case.
