Pray for W and Our Troops
I knew there was a catch...
I just remember seeing it while I was in college and, yes, it was the funniest bit they ever did. There's probably not a lot of difference between the humor quotient of a 9 year old and that of your typical 1970's male college student. When we weren't consuming near lethal quantities of incredibly cheap beer, or streaking the girls' dorms, we were consuming other things which at my current age I'd rather not discuss.
Simple supply and demand, no doubt Sajak's assertion is true, and is the MAIN reason leftward-leaning radio can't make it, but there's another reason. I have XM and have listened to Air America precisely to get a hold on what they have to offer.
The content is part of the problem. Issues are not discussed in any depth, dissent is not allowed, and any hint of dissent is mocked. Emotion rules. Sarcasm and cynicism saturate the dialogue, there is not a pretense of a-priori reasoning, just assertions and personal attacks on conservatives.
Only die-hard, brain-dead leftists would listen to this farce, a young person looking for information and not affirmation will turn it off in a nano-second, IMHO.
If I remember correctly, this show was on the skids after a short time on the air, and even more money had to be pumped into it to save it.
I know a few of the left-wing moneybags investors were revealed at the beginning, but I forget who they were. And I'd like to know who else lost big bucks on this foolish investment.

From what I heard, they had a major economic disaster at the beginning and then someone bailed them out and now they're actually doing OK. I haven't heard anything concrete about financial problems since the first major screw-up, and I don't know who bailed them out.
They've had major cash bailouts twice that I know of. The first one happened after they lost their Chicago and LA stations because they didn't pay their bills. The second was at the end of last year. It's not all Soros bailing them out but he's in for a large chunk of change.
I watched her for about ten minutes total on the HBO documentary and it was about all I could take. There's nothing worse than a loudmouth liberal who thinks she knows the truth about everything.Did you know that she beat Rush in ratings?According to her she beat Rush in the ratings but she didn't mention where it was.I find that hard to believe since Rush has more listeners than the entire AA network combined.
Just found this:
"In February, AAR inked a deal with industry behemoth Clear Channel, which put the network back in L.A., and which plans to bring the Air America format to 25 of its lower-rated AM affiliates."
Did Clear Channel bail them out?
"In short, what Air America is selling is available in too many other places." .......
Boy! I'll say!....it is available in the bottom of barn stalls, in cow pastures, and even at your local sewage processing plant.
I've always thought it was ironic that these dweebs decided to name themselves "Air America" since that was the cover corporation for the CIA in the 60s and 70s, at least when I was in the military then. We even had an AA building on our base -- nobody ever talked about it or asked questions in public.
AA used us quite a bit for maintenance and supply.
Geez, just a sarcastic joke about her smokers voice. Have a sense of humor, don't be a dumbocrat. I don't really wish her cancer.
