The school district is already planning a termination hearing.

They need to have a hearing? They can't just out right fire him?

If teachers were allowed to marry, this would never happen.

Compare this response with the Mifflin High School response in Columbus.

Beef up the gallows and get on with it.

After the hearing of course.

The question should be, why did this 6th grade boy say nothing to anyone about this ? As bad as this scumbag's actions are, you have to ask, why did the boy not complain or the parent(s) notice the boy coming home later than most kids ? Was this kid so badly intmidated or brainwashed that he just put up with it ?

Wearing the vest with his hands shackled in front of him, Cliatt appeared before a judge for the first time Sunday, when he answered the judge's questions.

This is outragious!! How humiliating this must be for that poor man, having to wear shackles and all...

(/ACLU mindset)

Why didn't they have teachers like this when I was in school?

Oops. I'm only supposed to say that about good-looking blonde female child molesters.

Gracious Lord....look how quickly some are blaming the victim.

People, just look at him! The teacher is HUGE...and even if he were not so physically overpowering, pedophiles are experts at choosing targets they can intimidate and control. Shame and fear are powerful silencers. Is it any wonder a boy would endured this exploitation alone, when even people who should know better wonder why he didn't say something sooner?

Blame the criminal, not the child.

The Department of Education should be abolished immediately. There was a time when the biggest problem was incompetence and wasting money. Now the health and safety of children is the biggest problem.

Daniel Cliatt, 29, is accused of a crime so heinous, for his first appearance deputies dressed him in a bulletproof vest.

Once again, Florida authorities go the extra mile to protect predators, and do not do a damn thing to protect the innocent.

1/Give the Judge a .45 Colt ACP.
2/Have him put 3 in Cliatt's face immediately after the jury finds him guilty.
3/Have the state police round up ALL of the Registered Sex Offenders in all the counties in the state.
4/Line said offenders against a brick wall or berm.
5/Repeat Step 1

Just a thought.

Jack.

At first, she walked in and didn't know what she was seeing.

It strikes me that a 360-lb man buggering a 13-year-old boy is unlikely to be mistaken for anything else...

Although I do have to admit that there does seem to be an unusual ammount of bad news coming out of the state of Florida, I still could not imagine living anywhere else. I find it much better than other states I've occupied. Then again I do live in N.W. Florida (the real Scarborough Country) which is totally different from the rest of the state.

I kinda like the fact that in 2000 I can fairly say that me and my friends alone are responsible for G.W. winning the presidency.
