Right-Winger Blasts O'Reilly
New York Post ^ | 04/25/05 | Richard Johnson, Paula Froelich and Chris Wilson

RABID radio host Michael Savage is whining that he has been banned from the Fox News Channel after he dissed Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity.

The controversial conservative — who was fired by MSNBC in 2003 after referring to a caller to his show as "a sodomite" who should "get AIDS and die" — recently burned more bridges by calling O'Reilly a "Leper-Con who poses as a conservative" and Hannity "another Republican bootlicker who began as a Rush [Limbaugh] understudy" on his "Savage Nation" radio show.

Savage claims that he's been bumped off four scheduled appearances on Fox News Channel in the wake of his caustic comments.

"These two are now acting the way the mainstream media has been acting for decades, thinking they are the gatekeepers of who shall be heard in the conservative world," Savage sputtered in a statement.

"Both are jealous of my audience and are trying to silence me because they do not want the competition."

< I don't know why you two are even on FreeRepublic, this is not a fashion show or a celebrity journal you rookies.
>

You've been here since just last September and you're calling me a rookie?

My family and friends will get a real kick out of the "fashion show" comment. Most people think I belong on "What NOT to Wear".

< I'm listening right now. Here's the link to listen online. >

Do you have me on some kind of list? Why is this directed to me. I've been a supporter of Laura Ingraham for ages. Is this link supposed to be new to me?

Off the top of my head, I can think if three "Conservative" Radio hosts that I believe to be detrimental to the "Right" in every way.

1.)Barry Farber, (may not even be working anymore)

2.)Michael Savage (An overly bombastic dimbulb)

4.)Mike Gallagher
(Thank God Fox yanked him from periodic fill-ins)

I am as Conservative as Conservative can be.
When I see a "Consevative" that I -don't- like, I sit up and pay a little extra attention.

The three birds mentioned above are an embarrassment.

I've started watching Nancy Grace who is on at the same time as O'Reilly-I do go back & forth but I kind of like her and she has such a passion for what she is doing and talking about. She gets very emotionally involved. I do like SOME of Savage's ideas - I listen if I am in the car at the time he is on but he is way too intense for me and always on the edge-he needs to tone down. O'Reilly asks questions-cuts off person and then answers the ?! I hate when he Aphrodite whatever her name is on to discuss Michael Jackson-he asks her to come on and that cuts her off every time she starts to answer-why have her on at all?!

The three birds mentioned above are an embarrassment. ...Barry Farber, Michael Savage, Mike Gallagher .

Could not agree more! They rant like the libs - If you have to shout and call names, you've lost your argument, even if right. To me, if one knows they are speaking the truth, they have no need to scream and shout.

I'd love to see a composite of the libs, like hitlery, teddyBoy, polooser, Dean and such of them at their screaming best - and put have a cartoon bubble saying "Bolton raised his voice, off with his head!!!!" etc.

Bangor? :o)

I have to admit, Nancy Grace is somewhat interesting to watch... But when she gets all indignant and starts sneering and scowling it's quite something to behold!!!

That Woman can sure make some mean faces!

I'd hate to me the man that left the toilet seat up in HER HOUSE!!!!! lol

"My wife and I refer to the show as "Hannity and Freak"- haven't watched it in years, because of Freak." In this Household, it's "Hannity & Tippy Turtle" as Colmes bears a striking resemblence to "Tippy" ;>

A lack of gentility is not something to praise.

Not unless you've had to listen to the senseless Rats' scorn so much you've actually come to believe them. As far as I'm concerned they themselves don't make the standard of what constitutes urbanity; and indeed, fall much shorter of the mark.

It's one thing to be controversial; it's another thing to make some of the comments that Savage has made.

"Do you have me on some kind of list? Why is this directed to me. [yadda yadda]...?"

I was merely trumpeting good things.

Yes, you are on "the" list. I can't go further into what this is, but you are on it and I can't tell you why. Also, I have no power to remove you from it because the matter is out of my hands now for I do not posess it or know it's ultimate end. blah blah blah blah blah. etc. etc.

But do not fear, small neophite and ill reputed fashion victim, you are on no ping list of mine and will not be bothered beyond any replies that you cause against yourself from this person who is currently addressing you.

May fortune continue to smile upon you and your fellow neophites and may the duchess of Right, Laura Ingraham, live a thousand more radio years and spread to the ears of of yet unknown regions and peoples if there are any left neglected by her pleasant humor.

"You've been here since just last September and you're calling me a rookie?"

Oh, that. The comment really refers to your place on the food chain of this current battle for America's soul in which we are dealing only with the struggle for the future of civilization and the salvation of countless souls, the outcome of which has less to do with what websites we might or might not know of and when we *might have* found them and more with whether we understand and can properly estimate the value of the roles being played therefore. The great Michael Savage may or may not be a Freeper, but I assure you that he makes an impact that all of us here dedicated to America's cause and providential role haven't matched even with twenty you's and me's on the internet. That you didn't appreciate that said more than you know that you were saying when you expressed a neophite critique of a warrior that has gone into the belly of the beast and withstood and advanced against it. Please do not judge us by our dates alone, because they are only part of the explanation of our backgrounds and actions or lack thereof.

Good day. And please limit your squire-ish insolence to the witches and demons of the LIEberal DUmmie variety, for against them you would appear much beyond their match morally in the exchange of critical remarks. Now, off you go.

We are; I just don't believe that Savage is a true representation of modern conservatism in my book. I can't listen to him on the radio because he makes my blood goil.

Maybe, but I admire the lone man who doesn't value making friends, but instead fights for beliefs and ideas. So he won't be invited to cocktail parties.. OH NO! Who doesn't want to socialize with Katie Couric?? He must be a crazy man!

Savage is my hero, at least he takes people to task when they are selling out America and doesn't care if there is an "R" or a "D" next to their name. I know he can be very angry at time and I don't falut him for that because I have the same anger in me too at seeing the sellout of America and her values. In fact, hearing him really gets me off my butt to do something or at least try to. Another talkshow host I've always admired but can't find anymore was Chuck Harder and his "For The People" show. He is like Savage but he was more laid back, but I admire them both.

I know this is a pipe dream and it would take "Alien Space Bats" to pull this off, but I might as well say "Savage in '08!"
