I understand your sentiments of love toward your weapon...I had so much fun with mine today! (more so than any date I have ever been on LOL) I was really impressed by how easy it was to place my shots! The conditions were less than peaceful...one scenario was done under low light conditions with a buzzer and an armed intruder that you had to take out. You were allowed a number of shots that were to be specifically placed, then reload and fire again. You were on a timer too.
The second scenario was at a restaraunt with innocents between you and the perps. You had to pull from concealed, fire a specific number of rounds at 3 perps, and hit only center mass and head shots. Each shot was counted, if you had an extra head shot and one less at center mass, you were deducted points, which affected your time.
I was very proud of my performance!! (can you tell) :)
My revolver has the black rubber style grips...is that the same as what you are talking about?
I agree re shot placement - the extra inch of barrel (as compared to a snubby) makes a lot of difference.
I think we have different era Bulldogs - IIRC, the company went of business, and was revived a few years ago. Mine is from the first era - it came with a one-piece wooden grip, but the original owner added an aftermarket grip. It's not rubber - closer to foam-rubber.
Congrats on a GOOD day at the range!
