The FBI and other law enforcement agencies are looking into incidents in which people masquerading as unannounced inspectors were found poking around three hospitals in Boston, Detroit and Los Angeles.

its probably no big deal just some insurgent or militant gunman probing its alright, cause its not a terrorist group...
so we are ok...
Those wgo would prey on the sick and infirm are no better than the child rapist.
Strange alright.
btw - your headline makes it sound as though there were 35-40 people involved
Extremly creepy. I wonder what they're up to?
Just "insurgents", pay them no mind, /sarcasm
Do hospital security guards carry weapons?
If somebody's trying to gain access to a hospital at 3 AM and showing fake docs, wouldn't you think they'd be held for questioning?
Does a hospital security guard have any authority to hold someone until police arrive?
Inquiring minds need to know!
"In response to the three incidents, the organization said that all unannounced surveyors will now carry a letter signed by its executive vice president."
Well now, this should take care it. Right!
"We have signed letter, see, see, we have signed letter. We will call CAIR if you don't believe us. Infidels!"
yes see they slightly disagree with us
They want to murder Americans.
They want to obtain radiopharmaceuticals and radioisotopes.
They want the easy entry (and exit) ports to the hospitals for the next wave.
SOLUTION: Catch. Interrogate. Execute. Repeat.
Apparently, its time to send Minuteman from the border to the hospitals.
It may just be that this is what founding fathers had in mind, when they thought people would be responsible for their own security.
Homes, Borders, Hospitals... or we can leave it to the liberals and walk around with signed papers of protection.
I thought that, too. And your solution is the only one.
"Do hospital security guards carry weapons? "
As one who has visited friends and relatives in hospitals a lot of late, one thing I have noticed...hospital security is almost non-existent. Hospitals are an extremely vulnerable (and I would think tempting) target for terrorists.
Some carry, some do not. Yes, it's weird enough to question. Yes, they have the ability to detain and call sworn officers.
Whew! I'm glad they got that straightened out.
At my hospital in Augusta GA a police guard (one of ours) shot to death a escaped prisoner in front of the emergency room yesterday afternoon. As for why terrorists would want to check us out...Cs-137 used in brachytherapy, Co-60 used in gamma knife (5700 Curries!), I-131, P-32, Sr-90, I-125, all kinds of neat poisons and explosive making stuff in our labs. Shall I go on?
"In each case the impostors were stopped by security guards or hospital staff, and then either left or were expelled. No one has been arrested, and neither the identity of the intruders nor their motives are known."
An underwhelming and completely inadequate response.
We better start to get serious about many things in this country, because if I were OBL I'd be heartened by this news.
Not to worry...They're probably just out for a stroll, maybe into oncology department to stuff a few cobalt-60 units in their turbans.
In all of the instances reported, the security people were smart enough to press the issue, and the intruders fled.
Although, I do wonder how many of these people actually got through. The FBI has a very good chance here not to get caught flatfooted...again.
