"I want to warn everyone....this probe, investigation, prosecution...whatever you call it........will never hurt either Clinton."
This might not see them into a jail cell, but it has to hurt politically. You can't keep lying in bed with skunks without starting to stink just like them. Even the Clintons cannot escape this. There are entirely too many independent voters out there for it not to make a difference. There are enough revelations in these investigations for the majority to lose all faith in the DumbocRats.
Sure, the ultra left wing loonies will ignore this, but the American people will only put up with so much of this foolishness from the "Toons". There is a good chance this can end Hitlery's run for Pres. If not then I will have to start agreeing with the Dems, (heaven forbid), that the majority of the American Public really is too stupid to figure out what is best for them.
Even the left wing MSM cannot ignore all of this. They will certainly downplay it, but you can only sweep so much dirt under the carpet before it is impossible to hide it.

"a prominent political figure who may be involved in illegally soliciting foreign nationals to contribute to national political campaigns," the Sun reported. The only 2 prominent political figures (besides the Clinton's) that I can think if that spent a lot of time with foreign nationals the last few years is John Kerry and Joe Biden

Even if Hillary was taped and admitted something illegal she will simply say "I misspoke" and the press will never mention it again.

Mike, my friend,
While I agree that anything other than lock-solid case would be worthless to pursue against Clinton (him or her), this case is an exception.
The feds have tapes of incriminating statements by the Campaign Manager, through not by her. They have documents to establish that there were two sets of books for the Gala, with the lower (false) numbers being reported under oath to the FEC.
I'm already thinking about my next week's column. I believe the title will be "Hillary Clinton's Chappaquiddick." Rosen is going to be convicted. Unless he turns state's evidence, Hillary will be neither indicted nor tried. However, keep in mind that Ted Kennedy was never tried or charged in the death of Mary Jo Kopechne.
Still, the damage was enough to keep Teddy from ever getting the nomination, much less election, as President. I think the blow-back from the current situation will likewise cripple Hillary so she's no longer a threat to infest the White House in the future.

John-I always enjoy you're article and look forward to your's on Hillary, but IMHO her Chappaquidick is Vince Foster.

If the "removal" of Vince Foster had been Hillary Clinton's Chappaquiddick, she would not be the leading contender for the Democrat nomination, even as we speak. She has not yet been fatally wounded as a presidential candidate, as Teddy was years ago.
Perhaps the truth about Vince Foster would have crippled Hillary. But that truth never came out. This time, because it is on tape, the truth WILL come out. And it will probably come out BEFORE the trial. Can you imagine how much loose cash the tabloids are putting on the street to get their hands on transcripts of the Rosen tapes?

Billybob,
Is this why we see so much feet dragging on Bolton and the Appellate nominee's?
Did the Dem's have wind of this and are looking for a quid-pro-qou and to go lightly on Hillary?
This happened under Ashcroft correct?
Oh, wouldn't that be sweet if major indictments and jail time comes form this for many Dem's after all the crap they gave him. I am not one to revel in another man's plight, but a potential moment of Shadenfrude from this one is to good to be true!

Your reply is admirable, hopeful, optimistic, and I'm encouraged that so many good folk are joining the FR chorus of intelligent, thought provoking commentary.
But.......but..............but.................
We've been predicting the fall of the Clintons for over a decade. They've survived suspicious deaths, rapes, illegal campaign money, Chinese money, national security leaks, perjury, impeachment, and I can't list all the offenses that would topple a Republican in a New York minute, that the Clintons have survived.
I'm just trying to be the realistic voice of reason. We've been here, done this, oh so many times. I'm not going to put myself through it again. But if I'm wrong, man oh man, I'll gladly buy the champagne. (And by the way....welcome aboard!)
