A group of Asian Americans. Once the ChiComs opened the doors, a flood left. We are reaping that harvest. On the down side, a good friend of mine is a Physics Professor. He says it is very rare to have an American graduate student in his department. When I was a graduate student, Chinese were rare, but there was a lot of Japanese.
1. Math/Science education in the USA stinks.
2. Math/Science is not "cool" except to geeks (that is a quote).
