In yesterday's NY Post, there was a picture of (then) Cardinal Ratzinger and a German brewer raising glasses of beer. If the new pope likes his German beer, then he probably likes his German food too, which includes a lot of meat. The PETA people are smoking too much of the wacky tobbacky.

Yup...being part German, I know meat is a big part of the German diet...including...gasp!!!! VEAL.
The PETA types would be hurling themselves over a cliff if it turned out the Holy Father liked his weiner schnitzel.
