Lots of Outside Work For a Stay At Home Mom(Melody Townsel)
NRO ^

Posted on 04/21/2005 9:56:23 AM PDT by hipaatwo

I have a little more info on Melody Townsel. When asked to explain why she did not bring allegations against Bolton during any of his previous confirmation hearings, Townsel claims she was “too busy” raising her children and had stepped out of politics.

However, during the time Townsel claims she devoted to raising her children, she was in fact working for the very large public relations firm Ogilvy. She was so committed to her work that she became a senior VP and collected more than $1.5 billion in revenues for the company. In addition, Townsel worked on “whistleblower” issues for the Androvett Legal Media and Marketing firm and ran her own firm, Townsel Communications.

Hat tip to the Classical Values blog.

Once we see Townsel sobbing on TV, surrounded by Senate democrats screeching about the "GOP attack machine" savaging a poor working single mom, we'll know that this is starting to hurt them.

Hip,

Why are the Pubs even concerned about this woman! Vote, up or down. AND, then, like the guy Danaher in the Irish classic The Quite Man, we say:

"Feeny, get out my black book. Now, write down the names Voinawich and Chaffee. Now, strike a line through them."

We then collectively spit on the floor.

Just an FYI. Ogilvy & Mather is an Advertising Agency. They do have PR subsidiaries and sister companies.

For the man on the street, PR and Advertising are the same thing but there are marked differences between the two - notably that PR agencies do a lot of "image management" work while Ad Agencies are mainly concerned with advertisement.

"Just an FYI. Ogilvy & Mather is an Advertising Agency. They do have PR subsidiaries and sister companies."

I was thinking when I read that, "hmmm, that's an insult to an Ad Agency like O-M." However, I'm not exactly holding my breath for a major O-M disavowal of her employment relationship, suspension with/without pay, etc....

It would be interesting to know all the O-M clients of record if anyone has that handy....

Liar, liar
pants on fire.

Maybe Unpleasant Melody will start trying to tell us she's part Indian, maybe we'll find out she's reversed other artists images and sold them as her own, maybe we'll find out her academic credentials pose questions of validity and that she's plagiarized somebody elses work.
