Liberals -- who want judges to yank "Under God" from the Pledge of Allegiance, yank "In God We Trust" from money, free Gitmo inmates, kill the death penalty, ban wars, ban Nativity Scenes, ban all school prayer, ban school vouchers, legalize abortion vouchers, legalize cloning, legalize drugs, legalize gay marriage, protect kiddie-porn as free speech -- are very worried about judges with 'radical views'.
This radical supporter thinks Tuesday was a great day...lines were drawn in the sand. Dimowits and Rinos, hit the road... the conservatives are coming!

After having power gone for a few hours it is nice to come back to find John's words of wisdom and so beautifully presented. Thank you both.
And the Rats are surely being challenged by our RINOs of late, haven't they?
I have emailed our dear sen voiny & called his office. Letting them know our disappointment is necessary.

Pass It On
When I am old and grayheaded, O God, do not forsake me, until I declare Your strength to this generation. -Psalm 71:18
|
Getting older doesn't mean becoming obsolete. It can mean growing, maturing, serving, ministering, venturing, enjoying ourselves to the end of our days. "Old men ought to be explorers," author T. S. Eliot said. One of my friends says, "Have a blast while you last."
To idle away our last years is to rob ourselves of what could be the best years of our lives and to deprive the church of gifts God has given to enrich it. There is still service to be rendered and there are victories to be won. Some older folks may not have the energy or inclination for leadership, but they are an invaluable asset to the next generation of leaders. John Wesley was asked what he would do if he knew he had only a short time to live. He responded, "I should meet with my young men till the moment came that I was called to yield my spirit back to Him that gave it." The psalmist also desired to pass along his understanding of the Lord to others, and he prayed, "When I am old and grayheaded, O God, do not forsake me, until I declare Your strength to this generation" (Psalm 71:18). We too should remain open to being used by God to enrich others' lives. Our greatest usefulness may be to pass our understanding of God on to others. -David Roper
The longer we live, the more that we know, Old age is the time for wisdom to show; Who knows how much good some word we might say Could do for the leaders of some future day. -Bosch
To forget the elderly is to ignore the wisdom of the years.

Sen. Joe Biden, weekly co-host of NBC's Meet The Press, CBS's Face The Nation, ABC's This Week, CNN's Late Edition and FNC's Fox News Sunday, noted on Fox News Sunday that the stalled nominees are stalled only because of their "radical views" and that Bible-reading and church-going have nothing to do with it. "It has nothing to do with the Bible," he hissed. Hmmmm. Methinks Joe ought to be spendin' his time in church rather than the prestituting himself on the tube on Sunday mornings.
Great essay and presentation, Aqua and John.

Just received, a regular communique from Senator Bill Frist:

Subject: Bill Frist on Judicial Obstruction
I've heard from many of you over the past several days about the judicial obstruction issue. Thanks for the feedback.
Unfortunately, theres a lot of misinformation out there. I just want to pass along one important fact that keeps coming up in my conversations: none of our proposals to give judicial nominees fair up or down votes would limit the filibuster on legislation or bills.
A lot of these television ads you're seeing are flat wrong. The fact of the matter is that nothing will ever prevent Mr. Smith from going to Washington and taking a stand on the Senate floor. And we will guarantee he can vote to confirm or reject judicial nominees!
I just wanted you to have the facts. Please feel free to pass this along to your friends and neighbors.
Thanks again for your thoughts and your steadfast support. As this debate progresses, I'll continue to keep in close contact.
Bill Frist
