Man Arrested For Spitting [large amount of tobacco juice] On [the face of] Jane Fonda

KANSAS CITY, Mo. --
Police said they arrested a man for spitting on Academy Award winning actress Jana Fonda during a book-signing stop in Kansas City Tuesday night.Fonda, 67, spoke at Unity Temple, in The Plaza shopping district, about her new book, "My Life So Far" and her new movie with Jennifer Lopez called "Monster-In-Law."
At about 9 p.m., police said a man who had been waiting in line for about 90 minutes, passed a book to Fonda and then spit a large amount of tobacco juice into her face.
Thy said the man then ran away and was taken into custody by off-duty officers, who were providing security for the event.Fonda declined to prosecute the man for allegedly spitting in her face.
Michael A. Smith, 54, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, which is a city charge.

Let's not be like them.I am with you 100% on that. Spitting, shouting, hurling feces, etc. is the recourse of people who have no legitimate argument. Better to simply stand there with a picture of her at the AA gun.

While some acts cannot be condoned, when it comes to certain people and Fonda is just one of them, mere words cannot ever depict the true feelings we have for them. At some instances the English language just doesn't translate well.
A spatter of Redman juice in Jane's face translates just perfectly.

Some say our side should not do this sort of action. The only problem I have with this indivudal is he ran away.
The libs have called us just about any name in the book and have incited all types of action against us. People can only take so much. It may not be right but I am not surprised it happened.

I know it happend to a lot of boys returning from the SEA War games but spitting not a healthy thing to do. Also, I believe there a laws covering expurgation on people. A pie or salad dressing would been better.

I'm glad to see some freepers don't approve of this tactic. I think he should be prosecuted and given jail time -- this is no way for anyone to act, liberal or conservative.

I understand why he did it, but I really don't want our side doing that kind of stuff. Why paint him as being on "our" side? I'm sure it was very personal for him. Political ideologies probably pale in comparison to what's bugging him about Hanoi Jane.
